Darkness.
Plan opened his eyes wide, but he couldn't see anything at all. In a bout of disoriented panic, he thought he had gone blind, and for a moment, he didn't know where he was.
Then he remembered.
The flight. The drive through the nearly empty streets of Geneva at night.
Now that his eyes had gotten accustomed to the darkness, he could even see the faint green light of the LED on his phone... indicating it was fully charged.
The first chime of the hour bell on the cathedral not only reminded Plan what had torn him out of his sleep so suddenly – the melody that had preceded the hour bell – the rest of the chimes also informed him that it was 5 o'clock in the morning.
Ugh. He should have taken time to put in the earplugs before he had gone to sleep last night. But he had been too tired to bother, and had fallen asleep before the others had turned the lights off – and closed the blinds, judging by the pitch-black darkness in the room.
Before Mean had joined him in bed.
He was here, now, though. Plan could feel his comfortably warm body next to him, one of his arms possessively around Plan's waist.
With a sigh, Plan snuggled himself into the embrace of his boyfriend, and tried to find sleep again. But... he was wide awake, now.
It wasn't that surprising. At home, it would be 11 o'clock already, he'd head for lunch, soon. The darkness around him just made the entire situation feel unreal again. His body was awake like it was in the middle of the day, and there was little to help him orient himself in the room. Not even his usual keen sense of space could help him in here, with nothing to root himself in.
Except for Mean, still sleeping.
Plan reached out, and when his hand touched Mean's chest he gasped. He hadn't really noticed it before... Mean was shirtless.
How could he?
Plan immediately pulled the blanket up as far as he could, making sure to cover Mean, too.
It was so cold in here. Plan could feel it despite the blanket and his warm flannel pyjamas. He didn't want Mean to catch a cold... not when they had to pretend that Win was his boyfriend instead.
Mean chuckled.
Plan twitched and only just managed to hold in a scream.
He couldn't do that!
"You're awake!" he whispered angrily.
"Did I scare you?"
"Shhh," Plan hushed, "don't wake Win."
It wasn't easy, talking to Mean, without seeing him.
"Why?" Mean asked, lowering his voice to a whisper as well. "Do you have naughty thoughts?"
Plan tried to prod Mean a little, to retaliate, but he misjudged the distance and hit him quite hard, causing Mean to groan.
"Shhh!"
"I didn't know you were into this kinky shit," Mean said, still keeping his voice low, but Plan thought he could almost hear the smile in his words.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."
The rest of his words were silenced by a gasp, as Mean's hand on his back had wandered downwards and was pushing up the top of his pyjamas.
"What are you doing?" Plan whispered indignantly. "It's cold!"
