The question was how.

How would you tell him you loved him with all your heart without embarrassing yourself with cliche phrases?

You had two weeks to formulate a plan to tell Alastor you loved him. And where? Where would you tell him? It should be somewhere private, so no one can interrupt it. You didn't want it to be like when Charlie interrupted your almost kissing Alastor.

You sighed and got out of the bathtub. You grabbed your towel and dried yourself before putting your clothes back on.

Your tail flicked from side to side in anticipation. You planned on going to talk to Husk about this entire situation and your desire to profess your love to Alastor.

With an anxious feeling seated firmly in your mind, you set off to the cat who acted like your dad. The elevator sunk to the bottom floor and dinged to indicate your arrival. You stepped off and speed walked to Husk.

"Hey Husk, how's it going?" You asked him. He was sipping from a small metal flask.

"Va Bene," he responded in Italian. From past experience, you knew that meant 'okay.'

"And you?" He asked, capping his flask. He tucked it under the desk.

You shrugged.

"I'm in quite the dilly of a pickle," you leaned against the counter so you could talk quietly and still have Husk hear you.

"And what is the problem?" One of his eyebrows sunk while the other rose.

"Angel thinks Alastor and I fucked," you glanced to the side. "And we're worried he's gonna go around spreading rumors."

"Did you?" Husk smirked at you and scoffed a bit.

"What? No! I wouldn't want- not yet, at least," your gaze shifted down. Your eyes landed on your hands which were nervously tapping the counter.

"Go on?" Husk's ears perked up.

"I want to confess to him but I don't know how. And you've been alive for like, what, 60 years before you died? And that was the 70s. So you have over 90 years of experience with love if you exclude your childhood."

Husk looked at you with a weird look on his face.

"Are you saying you think I participate in 'love?'" he rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "I stopped doing that decades ago."

"Do you have anyone you think I should ask for advice?" You said with a hint of sarcasm in your voice.

"Well, actually," Husk found a piece of paper and a pen and scratched down a number. "You remember Alex, right? Alex knows about that shit. He's been a relationship expert since he was alive some 87 years ago," he handed you the number and the paper also had an address.

"Go call him up or visit him or whatever. He'll be glad to hear from someone," Husk opened his flask again and continued drinking.

"Thanks, Husk," you walked away to return to your room and gather your things in preparation for your journey to Alex.

The streets of hell weren't too busy at midday. Demons were all asleep on the streets or inside doing drugs, gambling, drinking, or other, more sinful things.

On your way out of the hotel, Husk said Alex would be out of work in about an hour and you could just waist on his doorstep.

You only ran into one other demon on the street who wasn't interested in talking to you. They looked like a fox but had bright purple fur instead of orange. The white and black highlights were replaced with yellow and their blue eyes were focused on the ground in front of them. A white hoodie was all they were wearing.

You were kind of lost and needed directions. And there were no other demons around that seemed like you could talk to them without getting beaten up or raped.

"Excuse me," you asked them. They looked up at you, their white hoodie shifting and causing the hood to fall off their head. "Do you know the way to 537 Gorey Road?"

"Yeah, follow me," they looked at you with a blank face and you followed them. You held you hand close to the knife hiding in your belt. You had experience with killing, so if they tried anything, a little stabbing wouldn't be too hard.

"I'm Blue, by the way," they said.

"What's wrong?" You asked them.

"Oh, no, Blue is just my name," they let out a dry laugh.

"Oh, heh. I'm (y/n)," you swiveled your ears in their direction.

"Nice name. I like it. Your pronouns are she/her?" They asked.

"Yeah. What about you?" You looked at them.

"They/them. It's nice to meet someone who asks before they go around using the wrong ones," they shot you a smile and you returned it.

"This is it," they stopped in front of a big gray house.

"What's your number?" You asked them, pulling out your phone.

"Why?" They watched you open up a new contact on your phone. You currently on had Charlie's, Vaggie's, and Angel's. Husk, Nifty, and Alastor didn't have phones.

"So we can stay in touch. I liked talking to you," you handed them your phone and they punched in their number and gave it back.

"Thanks. Talk to you later?" You looked at their sky blue eyes.

"Yeah. See you soon!" They walked off and you perched yourself on Alex's doorstep.
