You slept well that night. Your covers and sheets were warm and kept you from getting too cold. You has dreams about Alastor. You didn't remember the details but you did remember they made you happy.
You woke up the the red sky glowing brighter. The pentagram in the sky still low on the horizon and far away from its peak. Your bladder was about ready to burst so you went to the bathroom.
The moment you left your room, Alastor left his too. His antlers had grown longer in the past few days. They made him look somehow more attractive while at the same time intimidating. He told you they would reach their full length some time in December.
"Hey Alastor," you caught his attention which was previously focused on his staff. His ears perked up and his eyes landed on yours.
"(Y/n), dear, how are you this morning?" He walked over to you and joined your trek to the elevator.
"I just woke up so I can't really say. But decent, I suppose."
"And I trust you had good dreams?" He pressed the oh-so famous button and you waited for the elevator to ascend to your floor.
"Yeah. Pretty good," you listened to the song and got on the elevator.
You and Alastor arrived downstairs and walked the the kitchen, chosing your normal breakfast and sitting down.
"So what are you planning on doing today?" You asked him, picking up your bagel.
"Whatever you want," he picked up his and took a bite.
"Wanna practice?" You suggested.
"What, our song? Of course!" He smiled gently at you.
"Great, what time?"
"After breakfast?" He asked.
"Sounds good to me," you answered, taking another bite of your bagel.
Your breakfasts were gone pretty soon and Alastor followed you back up to the top floor.
"Do you want to practice in my room, my dear?" He took out his key and shook it once.
"Yeah, I don't think I've gone in there before," you followed him into his room. It was different shades of red and black. You both sat on the bed and Alastor's microphone opened it's eye.
While you were singing, you didn't know Alastor had been broadcasting your voices on every radio in Pentagram City.
Alastor's microphone made a silent message to anyone who had listened not to talk about it. Or there would be consequences...
"My dear, I just love hearing your beautiful voice! I'm so happy you wanted to do this with me!" He took one of your hands and squeezed it before standing up. "I have a meeting I must attend and I can't be late. I'll see you soon," he walked with you out of the room and went to the elevator by himself, waving as the door shut.
You sighed to yourself and went to your room, throwing yourself on the bed. These past few days had been the best ones you'd ever experienced.
You decided to text Blue and ask them about good places to profess your love to your crush.
(Your texts are on the right, Blue's are on the left.)
Hey Blue
Hey
Do you know anywhere that's
a good place to tell someone
that you love them?
I don't know, man, I never
really did crushes
How about the woods?
Wait, you're talking about
Alastor, right?
Yee
Then yes, the woods. I
heard he practically lives
in the woods
I know, he does. I've been
to his house
Cool beans. Talk to you
later.
Bye
You turned off your phone and set in on your nightstand. Blue was a pretty chill person and they were also really nice for someone who lived in hell.
You had nothing to do for the next few hours until lunch time so you decided to find someone to talk to. You decided on Husk since he was basically your dad now.
"Huuuuuuuuusk," you leaned over the check-in desk until you fell on the floor on the other side. Husk looked down at you.
"Whaaaaaaaaat," he got down on the floor next to you and you sat up.
"I'm bored, can you do something amusing or some shit. Or give me booze?" You had grabbed the tips of his wings and were massaging his soft feathers.
"Yes. Let me get my deck of cards," Husk took off his hat and pulled out a rectangular box. It had two symmetrical dragons on either side decorated with card suits. Their wings were spread wide as they flashed against eachother, frozen forever in battle.
"Are you doing magic?" You continued to pet his wings.
"You know it," he shuffled his deck in a way that made it look like they floated from one hand to the other. He spread them all out on the floor.
"Pick a card. Don't show me," he closed his eyes as you picked up a card. Seven of diamonds. You placed it back down and husk scooped the deck up once more, shuffling it again.
He did a bunch of confusing hand movements and at one point hopped your nose which made you giggle.
He set down a single card and told you to flip it over. It was the seven of diamonds.
"Now what the fuck kind of magic shit did you just show me?" You gave him the card back and he pick the deck back in it's box, back it's hat, back on his head.
"The magic..." He smirked at you and tilted his head down while maintaining eye contact. "Of illusion."
You laughed and let go of his wings.
"Alright then. I'm bored again, got any other suggestions of what we can do?" You lied down flat on the floor and he joined you.
"I don't know. Wanna go behind the hotel and bask in the sun like the animals we are?" He looked at you with a big grin on his face.
"Did you just read my mind? Of course. Sounds like the life for me," you and Husk stood up and walked out the back door and behind the hotel. Husk led you to a big, flat Rock and stretched out his wings. You sprawled out face up and felt very relaxed.
