The hotel was pretty empty when you got back. Charlie and Vaggie weren't in the lobby, probably busy with something else. Husk was passed out on the check-in desk. Angel was probably out on the town trying to hook up with someone. Nifty had finished cleaning the lobby so she had disappointed to another room.

It was kind of lonely.

Your tail flicked and your ears swiveled around like a sonar, trying to look for a sound that wasn't Husk's snoring.

And then you heard footsteps.

You turned around to face the door from the middle of the room in time to see it open. Alastor walked in with a smile on his face that grew larger when he caught your eyes.

"(Y/n)! I've been searching all over hell for you. Where did you go, dear?" He hastily walked to you and took your hands in his. The sudden shock of realization that Alastor was holding your hands made your heart flutter.

"I was talking to a friend I met with Husk. He's helping me with some things," you responded, trying to sound as vague in your answer as possible.

"What kind of things?" He leaned in a bit.

"Life advice. I was having trouble with something and I didn't know who to talk to. Husk said he was a good resource," you let go of Alastor hands.

"You know you can talk to me?" He looked a little hurt.

"Oh, Al, of course. I just couldn't find you," you let Alastor pull you into a warm hug. His grip was the slightest bit constricting, almost as if he thought if he let you go, you would disappear. Almost desperate.

"Do you want to go to dinner with me tonight?" He asked.

"Where?" You listened to his heartbeat. It was kind of fast. You wondered if it was because of you or if it was because he just ran all over hell looking for you.

"You'll see..."

"Yeah, I'd love that," you felt Alastor's grip loosen and you pulled away a bit, still holding his shoulders.

"Wonderful! Where something a bit flexible," he said enthusiastically. You wondered what he meant by that. Where would you eat dinner that you needed to be flexible?

"And one more thing," Alastor added. "Have you tried venison?"

"No, I haven't. But I'd like to," you told him. His smile grew even bigger and his eyes widened.

"Great! I'll come get you at six?" He took his hands off of you. Which was very hard for him to do.

"Sure thing! Bye Al, see you soon!" You skipped merrily to the elevator.

Alastor, 3rd Person

"Wow, you actually asked her to a real dinner?" Husk asked with slurred words. Alastor turned to face him.

"Well, yes. You do know how I feel about her," Alastor made his way to the drunk cat.

"Did you- did you know she likes you too?" Husk poked the deer in the chest. "She is planning on something big for you just to tell you three, stupid words no one needs to hear!" He laughed a bit. "Can you fucking believe that?"

"Husk... You're saying she does like me?" He asked the cat. "And not just platonically?" His words became needy. He was desperate for and answer.

"Well duh," Husk took a swig from his bottle. "Why else would she want to talk to you?"
