You slept for most of the day. Alastor's arms were wrapped tightly around you as if you were his only lifeline. You woke up before he did since you had already gotten sleep and you heard him muttering in his sleep. You couldn't make it out, but you heard your name and something about killing someone.

He started to hold you tighter and you felt him curl up into a smaller ball. You wriggled with as much power as you could muster and repeatedly flicked your ears back into his face.

You felt his grip loosen as he woke up, his breath heavy on your neck. He turned you around and examined your face.

"Al, are you okay?" You rubbed his shoulders with your hands and pulled his waist closer with your tail do the only part of you not touching him was your face.

He slammed his lips into yours for less than ten seconds and then pulled away.

"Yes," he panted. "Just a nightmare, nothing important.my brain is just being an ass."

"Can you tell me what it was about?" You pressed your forehead against his and closed your eyes.

"I'd... Rather forget about it," he told you. You started to sing a song for him, one your mother sang to you when you were upset.

You are my Sunshine

My only sunshine

You make me happy

When skies are grey

You wiped the tears from Alastor's eyes with your thumbs and rubbed your nose against his. He joined in on the song.

You'll never know, dear

How much I love you

Please don't take

My sunshine away

Alastor went quiet as you began the second verse.

The other night, dear

When I lay sleeping

I dreamt I held you

In my arms

He held you tighter and gently stroked your back.

When I awoke dear

I was mistaken

So I hung

My head down and cried

You and Alastor sang the first part once more before lying down together in silence. That is, until your stomach grumbled. You were getting quite hungry.

"Are you hungry, my dear?" Alastor asked, caressing your cheek. You nodded. He snapped and on the nightstand appeared (your favorite food). Your eyes widened and you looked back at Alastor. He nodded and you ate it all.

Once that was done, you stood up and stretched.

"Let's go back to your house," you said to Alastor with your hands in the air. Your tail stuck straight up too.

"Okay, you can go wait in the lobby, I need to grab some things," he said.

You nodded and went downstairs. Moments after you got there, a black shadow popped out of the ground next to you and turned into Alastor. You jumped a little, making him laugh.

"Shall we?" He asked, holding out his elbow for you. You giggled.

"Let's shall."

--------------

You and Alastor sat by the fire, you in his lap and him reading stave 2 of A Christmas Carol. Although your voices were better, he still had a wonderful voice. It's crackling static was oddly calming.

Alastor's shadow had decided to join you in the story and sat next to you and the deer. He leaned against you, and even though he wasn't really a physical being, you could feel his weight.

Alastor rolled his eyes at his shadow and continued reading. He read with a passion, giving each of the characters a unique voice.

After a while, he finished the stage and soflty shut the book. You collapsed onto the floor and dragged Alastor after you, pulling him on top of you and into a kiss.

Alastor glanced at his shadow and his microphone before kissing back. The microphone laughed a bit at the strange new Alastor he was looking at.

Alastor's shadow just sat there and watched, not moving the entire time. His eyes were wide since he also was not used to seeing Alastor behave like this with anyone or anything.

Of course they knew you were dating, they just never watched you do stuff like this.

They had no reason to either.

Alastor snapped and both of them were removed from the room. He didn't need to snap to control things, it just made it more dramatic.

He moved his hands to your face and pushed you harder against his. You tilted your head and tried to take over, but he would always be dominant. He was Alastor.

You pushed his away for breath and just shook your head. He looked at you confusedly.

"I'm ready for bed again," you tried to push him off of you but he wouldn't budge.

"Can't we sleep down here tonight?" He pleaded with wide, begging eyes. You giggled and nodded. He silently cheered and you were both suddenly in a large sleeping bag with two soft pillows under your heads.

You let the fire warm you and make you sleepy along with it's background noise and Alastor's lovely scent.

And for the second time that day, you fell asleep in his arms.
