thanks giving morning-

i woke up with a headache, knowing that i'd be spending the whole day with my family. they always give me shit for how i dress/act. they all were mad when i had told them luke and i broke up, they always imagined us being together forever.

i decided to take my time in the shower, avoiding going downstairs where i knew my mom was cooking. i got out and blow dried my hair, making it as straight as i could. i brushed my teeth and put on moisturizer.

i went to my room and did my makeup to look natural, applying mascara, eyebrows and a little bit of highlight along with some lipgloss. i went to my dresser and pulled out underwear and a bra. then i looked for something to wear, i couldn't have anything that was even slightly inappropriate or my religious, judgmental ass family would shun me.

i walked down stairs in my outfit and my mom shook her head.

"you know damn well grandma wont let you live if you wear those jeans." my mom said and i groaned.

"theres one small ass whole, oh my god." i rolled my eyes and walked back upstairs. i changed into a different pair of jeans that didn't have holes and put on a different shirt because the sweater i was wearing was too hot.

i walked downstairs and my mom approved of my outfit this time. it was only 11 and my family wasn't supposed to come until 3 so i had some time.

"luke called me, asked if he could come over for dinner." my mom said and i scrunched my brows.

"oh? why isnt he spending it with his dad?" i asked, she shrugged, wiping her hands on her apron. "did you say yes?" i asked, she nodded.

"i hope my mom doesn't nag him for his hair and tattoos." she mumbled.

"he'll probably wear a long sleeve and he just dyed his hair black." i told her and she nodded, putting the pie into the oven.

"so jake-" "mom stop." i groaned, knowing she was gonna ask what we are and i just didnt want to tell her yet.

"hello my beautiful family!" i laughed when i heard luke barge through the door.

"hi luke." my mom smiled and i hugged him. "okay, so rules for both of you to follow today." my mom said and we both groaned.

"one, absolutely no swearing around my mom. two, if you're gonna smoke, dont. three, if they ask if you're dating just say yes, it will be a lot less complicated. four, do not say 'oh my god'." she explained and we nodded, remembering the rules.

"this is gonna be a long day."
