We sit under the stairs at lunch. I pull out my lunch box and open it. Not much just a sandwich, an apple and a banana.
Andrea and I walk to the stairs and find Zelda sitting there. "Rawr" I say and jump down knocking my head on the top of the stairs. "OW!" I yelp and hold my head.
"HAHAHA" Andrea is laughing at me as she crawls into the space. "HAHA. Are you ok?" Zelda asks.
"No. Being tall sucks" I say and frown. "Well I wouldn't know so..." Andrea says and laughs at herself.
Five minutes later Cara comes in, in a huff. "What's up?" I say with a mouthful of sandwich. "For one: that's gross and two: My stupid history teacher is annoying the freakin' crap out of me" she says.
She goes into this big speech about how her teacher is making them hand in their assignment early and Blah Blah Blah. I wasn't really paying attention. I was thinking about Eden.
I was thinking about the way he looked at me when I was at Andy's. His eyes. His smile. They way his eyes light up when he gets excited. The way...
"IRIS. Earth to Iris" Andrea says and waves her hand in front of my face. "Huh?" I say and blink a couple of times. "Eda and Olive are coming" says Zelda and as if on cue Eda slumps down a pole breathing heavily.
"FOURGASM" we all shout at once. We crack up laughing an I swear I peed a little. Eda starts to fake cry and Andrea starts to rub her back.
"Ooh baby. You know that we love you" she says and we all giggle. "Speak for yourself" someone walks past and says. We look up and see that Tara and her posse are standing there. Tara has a white cloth under her nose. It's stained with blood.
When we see her we all burst out laughing. "You look like an idiot" Olive says and snot shoots out of her nose. "Ewww" Eda says and backs away.
"Go get fucked" Tara says and flips us the bird. " I stick my head out the gap in the stairs. "Shouldn't be to hard for you, you whore" I call. When she whips around I lift up my fist and she runs away.
The end of lunch bell rings and Cara, Andrea and I walk up to Japanese.
I sit at the back of the class with them and we go onto the group chat. Only texting any time we got a text.
Zelda 🎶: FUCK! History is boring the crap out of me.
Cara ✏: SEE WHAT I MEAN!
Olive 📖: Eda and I are in English.
Eda 💥: Stupid freakin' English oral. Hey Iris do u still have that cannula that you had when u did urs?
Me: Uh Huh. U doing it tomorrow?
Eda 💥: Yeah could u bring it?
Me: Yep.
Olive 📖: LOL. Iris I need ur glasses.
Me: Why?
Olive 📖: Harry Potter. Duh!
Me: Yep ok.
The teacher walks past. Andrea and I shove our iPods in our pencil cases and Cara does the same with her iPhone 5.
"How are you going?" She asks and I show her my work. She takes it. "Wonderful" she says "Absolutely wonderful". She carries my book out the front and shows everybody.
I start to blush. Japanese is probably my only strong point. Cara and Andrea look at me and when they see my face they start to laugh. I punch each of them in the arm and when the teacher comes back with my book I slump into my chair and pull out my iPod.
