10/20/21: I'm back mothertruckers✌
They seemed a bit tentative about the suggestions at first, as if something had unlocked within them, but after some time they turned back to me looking more certain about it.
"Yeah. Sure, that's fine", the rabbit said. The wolf nodded in agreement.
"Great!", I replied. Then I looked at them. "You two look like you could use some food...how about I go find something?" Before they could say anything, I was already headed to the kitchen to cook something, with Baekhyun right behind me, only to find that something was already cooking.
"Jin, what are you doing still up?", I asked the twelve-year-old now awake cooking up pancakes.
Wait, pancakes?
Then I looked at the clock.
"CRAP IT'S ALMOST SIX IN THE MORNING ALREADY?!!", I exclaimed. Great. Now I had to wake up the others and get them ready for school, not to mention that both Baekhyun and I were probably going on an unhealthy amount of sleep. I decided that the older kids would be easier to wake up, so I went there first.
I was slightly mistaken...
When I got there, it didn't take long to wake up Namjoon and Hobi, as neither kid was a heavy sleeper. Yoongi, on the other hand, was a bit harder. I had to prod him several times to get him to even stir and use food to wake him up entirely. After that somewhat frustrating ideal, I now needed to wake up the younger ones. Fortunately, someone must've gotten there first, because when I checked, they were all up.
"Melody, it's too early for this...", a tired Jimin pointed out.
"I don't like it either, buddy", I replied "but school starts in an hour and I need to be there early if I'm going to enroll you guys too" I left the younger ones to get ready as I headed back to the kitchen to check on Jin and the pancakes.
"I finished the pan- Mel who are they?", Jin asked, pointing at the couch. I wasn't sure what he meant, having forgotten most of the previous night, but then I looked at where he's pointing and remembered.
"Oh yeah! I've been meaning to mention the topic but I'm waiting for your brothers to come here." I told him.
"Oh. Well then, good thing I made extras", he said as he set the plate of somehow perfect pancakes on the table. Seriously, what food network was he watching, because I want to be able to cook like that too.
About five minutes later the other hybrids came into the kitchen, followed by Baekhyun.
I decided now was probably a good time to explain to them who the new hybrids were, as I knew they'd ask soon (or in Jin's case, would have already asked). So while the others went to prepare for breakfast, I went to the living room to check on Judy and Joanne.
They both looked at me expectantly.
"Pancakes?", Judy asked.
"Yeah, there's some in the kitchen", I replied. "Just let me introduce you two to my other hybrids".
With that, I led them into the kitchen, where seven other hybrids turned their heads, first looking at me, then at Judy and Joanne, then back to me, both confused and intrigued.
Before any of them could say anything, I told them. "Guys, this is Judy, and that's Joanne. They showed up earlier last night injured, so I offered to let them stay here for as long as they need to. In a sense, think of them as your new sisters".
They all sat there for a moment, taking in everything I had said, before accepting it and continuing on with breakfast.
After breakfast, we all left for school. At first, I was a bit hesitant about bringing Judy and Joanne, given their condition last night, but they said they were feeling better, so after having decided to let them choose, they decided to come with us, so that was that.
After registering all nine of them, I trusted that they'd be fine by themselves, even small Kookie, and set off to my first class, with Baekhyun right beside me.
