oops. it's been too long.

"So let me see if I've got this right. Mina, your cousins went missing for several months but came back alive and well?", Vernon asked. We were about ten minutes away from Mina's house and we had caught him up with just about everything that had happened since he left.

"Yep! We're back to fourteen in the house, now twenty-two counting Melody and her hybrids", Mina responded.

"Got it. And Melody, you have hybrids now?"

"Yep! They're basically my little brothers. There's Jin, Yoongi, Hobi, who you've met, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, but we call him Kookie."

"I see..."

"Any other questions?", Yugyeom asked.

"Just one...Are you and Melody dating, per chance?"

We hadn't mentioned that to him yet, so the question caught us off guard. "Was it obvious?"

"Not necessarily. I just had a feeling there was something there when we were younger. Plus you guys were holding hands when I arrived, so I just kind of assumed."

Oh. Right. Silly us.

With that, we pulled into the driveway of Mina's house. "So exactly where are you moving in to?", Mina asked as we headed inside.

"It's actually not too from here, I'll give you some directions when we start heading out", Vernon responds as he throws out his empty drink from earlier.

"So, is anyone hungry? I could go order food or try to make something?", I asked.

We all agreed on getting food, so I pulled out my phone to order something only to find that I had one missed call from my mom about an hour ago. Huh. "Hang on guys, I missed a call from my mom", I said before calling her.

"Hello?"

"Hi mom, is everything okay? Sorry I missed your call earlier, I was busy with something."

"Oh yeah, everything's fine, I just wanted to call you because I needed to tell you something, but I realized it might be best as an in-person conversation."

"Oh okay, I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment but maybe tomorrow morning?"

"Oh? Preoccupied you say?", my mom asked in a teasing tone. "Did you and that long-haired kid finally get together?"

"Mom!", I responded, slightly embarrassed. "No we didn't".

"Aw, shame. Okay then, how about you and Yugyeom? Is he the reason you're preoccupied?"

"I- okay yes we're dating but that's not why I'm busy", I responded after a moment. "Hansol, or Vernon now, just came back from the US and we just picked him up from the airport, that's all."

"Oh? It appears we'll have plenty to catch up on then. Very well, I'll see you next time, you go have fun with your friends!"

"Thanks mom, love you, bye", I replied before hanging up. "Sorry about that, I'll go order the food now, what do you guys want?"

One order of hot dogs and chicken wings later, we started reminiscing about old times while telling the hybrids (the younger ones anyway) stories from our childhood.

Once the food had arrived, I pulled out the Monopoly board game and set it in front of us. "So. You guys want to play?", I asked.

"Oh, absolutely", Mina responds as she sets her food down to set the game up. "I'm always down for a good game of Monopoly!"

"I don't think I've played this game since I moved away", Vernon mentions casually.

"Really? You haven't played this back in the US?", I asked in surprise.
