After the initial shock was over (and after being reassured multiple times that no one had walked in on us), the three of us decided to just hang out for a bit in the living room since it was still early in the evening. The effects of heat were starting to wear off of Hobi, so he wasn't clinging on too much now. Everything seemed to calm down.

Until...

"Mellyyyyyy!"

I heard a voice call my name as Jungkook came running into the room before wrapping his arms around me.

"Hiii!", he says happily while looking at me.

"Heyyy!", I respond, matching his energy while noticing that his pupils were very much dilated. "What's up Kookie?"

"I just wanted to say hi", he responds.

I looked at the clock and saw that it was around 8 o'clock at night. Not super late, but usually the younger ones would be in bed by this point, so I picked up the small child with the intention of tucking him into bed, but whenever I tried to put him down he would only cling on more.

"Kookie, you need your sleep, especially if you're planning to hang out with your friend tomorrow", I told him.

"But you're going to leave me when I sleep, and I don't want you to leave me!"

"I'm going to come back", I promised.

But Kookie still refused to let go.

"Fine, you can stick around a bit longer, but only for a little bit longer, okay?", I tell him, to which he nodded.

I carried the small bunny hybrid back to the living room and had him seated on my lap, so as I was talking to my friends, I was also trying to get him to sleep.

Surprisingly, putting Kookie to sleep was easier than I thought it would be, having taken only five minutes, so I carried him into his room and tucked him in before heading back to the living room.

"Hey Melody, what was that call with your mom about earlier anyway?", Mina asked once I got back.

"Not entirely sure. She just said she needed to tell me something in person", I responded.

"She probably left your asshole stepdad if I had to guess", Yugyeom pointed out.

"You know, considering the fact that I didn't see his car that one time I wouldn't be too surprised", I responded. "Anyway, you guys wanna do anything else or should we call it a night?"

We all agreed to call it a night. Since it wasn't a school night, I asked Yugyeom if he wanted to stay the night, but he said he had somewhere to be early the next day so he opted to go home instead.

I changed into my pajamas and was about to hop into bed, only to be met with a pouty black bunny sitting in the middle of my bed.

"You left me", Kookie said sadly as he shifted back to hybrid form.

"I know, I'm sorry", I told him as i climbed into bed.

The second I did, Kookie shifted back to bunny form before crawling onto my lap and falling asleep, me following not too long after.

I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing. I checked the caller ID before picking up.

"Hey mom, everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything's fine", she responded. "What time did you want to meet up and where?"

"Hmm...I just woke up so maybe here at Mina's in like 20 minutes? I've got one of Kookie's friends coming over soon too so I don't think it's best for me to leave the house."

"Fair enough. Okay, I'll be there in 20 minutes."

"Sounds good, mom", I responded before hanging up.

I got up soon after and went to go get ready. While I was brushing my teeth, I got a call from Hyuka's mom asking for the address.

While I was talking to her, I felt something (or someone) putting pressure on my slippers. I figured it was Jungkook so I thought nothing of it until I hung up and looked down to see a small red panda sitting on my shoes.

"Well good morning, Tae", I greeted as the young boy shifted back into hybrid form.

"Morning!", he said, smiling as widely as he could. Like Kookie's, his eyes were also very much dialated.

Well then, this will be fun to deal with, I thought to myself as I picked up Tae and carried him out of the bathroom.

I found Kookie waiting outside of my room when I got to the door, arms outstretched waiting to be picked up.

Knowing that I didn't have the strength to carry both of them, I put down Tae (to his dismay) and picked up Kookie, securing him in one arm and holding Tae's hand with the other as the three of us made it downstairs..

Just then, the doorbell rang.

Expecting either my mother or one of Hyuka's parents, I walked over to the door to open it.

Instead, I found...
