Sam
"Alright, call them up." Sam sighed, knowing of he harassment coming his way.
Natasha smirked evilly as she poked her head out the door.
"Boys," she yelled downstairs, "come up! Sam has something to show you." She was answered to by the thundering sound of shoes climbing the stairs as five of the avengers entered the room (Loki staying downstairs with Alex, Bucky having to stay in the infirmary).
Sam looked down to the floor as his friends walked in, desperately trying to cover his face."Is this what Sam had to show us then, Nat?" Clint asked, shrugging causally at the mess around them, clearly disappointed by the lack of exciting news.
Natasha scowled, wondering how they hadn't noticed, before turning to look at Sam. Raising an eyebrow, she sternly lifted his head to present the artistic creation on his face to the others.
"No. This is what he wanted to show you."Bruce, standing quietly behind the others, released a quiet snort of laughter before defensively whispered,
"I'm not laughing, I'm not laughing."Thor, on the other hand, released a loud chuckle as he looked closer at Sam, examining the bright pink lipstick and thick, blocky layers of mascara lathered on his eyelashes.
"This is brilliant!" He exclaimed in between laughter, his face a wide grin. "We must take a... a photographic image!""Already done it." Came Tony's proud voice as he scoffed shamelessly at Sam's embarrassment.
"Oh god." Sam murmured as he shot Natasha a pleading look. "Please." He begged.
Shrugging as though she had no control over the situation, she replied,
"You trash my room, you gotta face the consequences." She then furrowed her brow, folding her arms to look at Sam closely, "and also, now almost everyone's here, wanna tell everyone else just why you're wearing my makeup?" She asked.Sam released a heavy sigh.
"Look, all that happened was Alex wanted to do dress up, which then sorta became makeup, which made this," he pointed to his face, "okay?"Tony shrugged in response.
"Fine by me." He commented, snapping another picture as he said it."Aw, come on!" Sam complained at this, before he was interrupted by Steve, who had stayed silent, a thought occurring to him.
"Wait Sam, hold up." He began, raising a hand for silence, "when did you get here. I'm pretty sure we only left Bucky in charge of Alex." He recalled.
Sam crossed his arms.
"Well looks like you need more than one guy to take care of a kid." He reasoned, "but you wouldn't know since there's seven of you taking care of Alex." He defended, desperately drawing the attention away from his made-up face.Clint raised his hands in mock surrender, pulling a shocked expression.
"Okay, okay! There's no need to get personal just because you look like a Barbie Doll, everyone has their phases." He joked, high-fiving Tony, his face in a broad grin. However, before anymore jokes could he said, their little mocking session was interrupted as he door swung open, revealing a very worried Loki.
"Brother!" Thor cried, still merry with laughter, having forgotten about the grave condition they were still in.
Ignoring his brother, Loki's eyes scanned the seven of them.
"I need Bruce." He demanded, the grins having left everyone's faces once more as Bruce came to the doorway, his face full of concern."Hey, what can I do?" He asked quietly, despite everyone else listening in, in confusion.
Turning on his heel, Loki spoke behind him,
"Follow me." As he marched out the door and down the stairs, closely followed by a still extremely puzzled Bruce.
