it was a fine morning for lisa as she sat by the garden of their mansion, watching as the flowers sway with the calm wind.
"hey lis!" his brother, taehyung, called as he came running towards her. "good morning." he grinned at his sister.
lisa was annoyed by her brother's mood. he needs something or have something to say. that is for sure.
"what do you need now, tae?" lisa looked at her brother and stood up from the grass, joining taehyung to sit on the fountain.
she cringed as taehyung pouted. "no good morning for me?"
"okay. good morning, bro. what do you need?" lisa faked a smile and laughed afterwards. "what is it?"
taehyung smiled. took an intake of breath. and smiled again. "i proposed to jennie. and she said yes."
lisa's eyes almost popped out of their pockets as she stood up again.
"what?! you cannot marry my bestfriend!" lisa protested.
taehyung chuckled. "and what could you do? we love each other." and he smiled his annoying charming smile at his sister.
"but just last week you said that she isn't your type and now you're marrying her?! and she isn't even your girlfriend. what the hell?" lisa's voice is laced with much shock and dissaproval. and maybe a bit of jealousy.
"well now she is and people change you know?" taehyung smiled then stood up and put his hands in the pocket of his jeans. he kicked the rock on the ground and went to kiss lisa's cheek.
lisa rolled her eyes and watched as her brother walk inside the mansion. before he stepped inside, he turned around. "she's coming later for dinner." he informed his sister and finally went inside.
lisa sighed defeated and sat down by the fountain again.
*
dinner came and jennie did come. usually jennie just comes here when they would hang out. but not now. she came here for taehyung to announce their plan to get married soon.
the whole dinner time, lisa didn't talk and just listened to the people talking.
as soon as she finished her meal, she went straight to her room and locked herself inside. she needed to talk to jennie. she needed to know why jennie didn't tell her this any sooner.she grabbed her phone and texted jennie to come upstairs.
jennie recieved the message and luckily, taehyung was too engrossed in his conversation with his father about their company. she sneakily went upstairs to lisa's room and knocked on the door.
"lisa?" jennie softly called.
the door opened and jennie jumped to hug lisa. "i missed you!"
lisa hugged her back for a moment but then pulled away, leaving jennie confused.
"what's wrong?" jennie searched lisa's face for any reaction but she didn't find any.
"why didn't you tell me that taehyung proposed to you?" lisa spoke. "and you said yes."
jennie gulped and held lisa's hands. "i didn't have any choice. my parents are divorced and i got no one. what can i do?" she explained.
"but we made a promise, jen! now what will happen to the 'we won't get married and grow up with each other' you know how i feel about all this right? i know you do." lisa's eyes began to tear up. jennie reached out to wipe the tears threatening to fall.
"i know lisa, i know. if i just had any choice i wouldn't. if i had a choice i would choose you. if i had a choice, i would marry you." jennie leaned her forehead on lisa's.
lisa took a deep breath. "jen, i need you to promise me something. if you promise me this, i will let you marry my brother." lisa looked through jennie's eyes.
"what is it?" jennie caressed lisa's cheek.
"promise me that you will always love me more than him." lisa closed her eyes. she sounded so desperate but this is the least she can ask for when her brother is marrying her bestfriend who happens to be the love of her life.
jennie answered her with a kiss. and then lisa smiled as she already knew the answer. jennie pulled away and smiled at lisa.
"i will always love you more than anything."
