lalisa manoban's pov.
last week, we spread out to the public that we are looking for a new secretary to replace claudia, my aunt.
she's been working for this company ever since the start and it's sad to see her go. she's getting old so it's better for her.
today, i am interviewing those who wanted to work for the company, and here i am stuck in traffic.
i usually arrive at 8 in the morning and it's already 8:01am. this annoys me so much. even though i am the CEO, i always try to arrive early so that i can be a role model for my employees.
my father thought me that.
"jiyong oppa, how long will this traffic take? i'm already late for the interview." i asked my butler. he was my butler since i was a kid and he has thought me a lot of things as well.
"we'll arrive in 5 minutes, lalisa. i'm so sorry for the delay, i couldn't do anything about the traffic." he apologized sincerely and i smiled at him.
"no, no. it's alright oppa." i brushed it off and we shortly arrived at the company.
i entered the premises and everyone automatically greeted me. some are eyeing me, and some are whispering about me.
they hate me for my attitude towards them but like me for my money. funny right? don't get me wrong i'm a kind person. i just don't like to give them my time of the day, especially when they talk shit behind my back.
i entered my private elevator and pressed the only button inside, the top floor.
the whole floor is supposed to be my office but i divided it so i can have a private conference room and my secretary's office is beside mine too, so i can have easy access.
claudia greeted me and i kissed her cheeks, we chatted a bit and i had to go inside my office because she said there's someone waiting for me.
"you're going to be so happy, my lisa." she smiled at me, hinting something.
i scrunched my brows, "why aunt claudia?"
she chuckled. "nothing, just go see for yourself. i'll bring your coffee shortly." she waved me off and i shook my head, heading towards the door.
once i entered the door, i noticed someone sitting on one of the couches but i just kept my head straight and sat infront of my desk, putting my things down.
i do not have the energy to speak business with someone without having my coffee first.
after a short while, aunt claudia entered my office with my coffee. i smiled for a bit and thanked her before going back to my serious face. i want to intimidate whoever this someone is so they know who i am.
don't worry, only to intimidate. my father told me that. but i should always keep my feet on the ground.
i took a sip and felt my body starting up. yeah, coffee is my fuel.
i looked at aunt claudia when she spoke. "ah, this is miss jennie kim." aunt claudia smiled.
my ears rang. jennie kim? my jennie?
i looked at the girl and she seems so nervous. there's only one way to prove that she's my jennie, her eyes.
"she's applying for secretary, miss manoban."
my heart beat is doubling. is she really jennie?
i looked at her intently, studying her features one by one. and i almost ran to her and hugged her when i saw her eyes.
