jennie kim's pov.
"hurry up, taehyung! i'm gonna be late for my interview. come on we already talked about this!" i yelled from downstairs of our apartment.
"i'm sorry, okay! i couldn't find the keys." taehyung said as he rushed towards the car.
it's my interview today, i'm applying to be the new secretary of a big company here in south korea.
after i graduated, i moved out from our old house and bought my own apartment. my brother, taehyung tagged along because his university is near my place.
i'm really nervous because i heard that they only accept the best there. i'm not doubting my skills but i'm nervous of the environment.
i'm new to this adulting thing, you know.
i sighed as the car stopped, we're stuck in traffic.
i slapped taehyung's arm and he winced. "hey! that hurts, jen!"
"i told you to hurry up and now we're stuck in traffic." i gave him a glare. "if i don't get the job today, you're paying the bills."
his eyes widened, "what?! i'm only a student!"
"i don't care. you move like a sloth." i rolled my eyes at him and turned on the radio.
the traffic moved slowly then stopped again. i still have an hour left before the interview starts. but the company is 30 minutes away from my apartment and we're just halfway!
"you know, jen..." taehyung trailed off.
"hmm?" i raised my brow at him."my gradution is in a week. i'm applying for a job in that company too." he said and started the car as the traffic moved again.
i nodded. "yep, i don't think so."
"what? why? come on!" he whined.
"just thinking of it, hell. you will be annoying the heck out of me if we work together." i shook my head.
"you're so mean! i wouldn't do that, jen. come on, i want to help with the bills and also with mom and dad." he pleaded.
i thought for a second and agreed. "okay, we can split the bills."
"yes, okay." he smiled his irritating box-smile.
"your teeth look ugly, tae." i teased him. though he looks handsome, but i can't help it. sibling things.
"you look ugly, jen." he shot back.
i rolled my eyes and fixed myself. we're already outside the company. i stepped out of the car and ruffled taehyung's hair before waving him off to school. i laughed as he whined like a kid.
i took a deep breath and walked inside, with my head up high. i wanted to impress them.
i asked a lady and she led me to the top floor of the building.
dang, this building costs more than my whole being. it looks so elegant and expensive. it has a modern design with a touch of antique here and there.
i was left outside of a big double door.
"lalisa manoban, CEO." says the black and gold plaque. it looks so intimidating, i'm scared.
i cleared my throat and knocked three times. i braced myself for what was to come, i took another deep breath and the doors opened.
"good morning, miss kim. please take a seat." a slightly old looking woman greeted me.
the whole room is bigger than my apartment. i was amazed.
