"You just can't help yourself can you?"
Her fathers words broke the uncomfortable silence that surrounded the house, fear rooted deep within her stomach, knitting it impossibly tight as he stood over her staring down.
"You just keep getting in trouble!" He yelled delivering a sharp smack across her cheek knocking her to the floor. She laid their for a moment gripping her cheek as her father stepped closer towering above her.
"And you know what happens when you misbehave" he spoke grabbing her hair and wrapping it tightly around his wrist. She kicked, ignoring the pain as her hair was wrapped tighter around his fingers, trying to fight her way away from her father.
"You'll never be stronger than me!" Her father yelled as he yanked her hair sharply causing her to yelp. He threw her into the kitchen causing her to hit the cabinet hard winding her slightly.
He strode over giving a swift kick to her ribs. She yelled in pain her hands flying to her head to protect it. His fist collided with her hand as she struggled to defended herself.
"Oh you want to fight me now?" He questioned yanking her hand away punching her hard in the face. Her nose began bleeding instantly as her father broke it.
"Now... get upstairs" he spoke watching his daughter as she dragged herself into a sitting position. He watched her head fall back against the counter as she watched him lazily, the last of her energy holding her up, she panted slightly trying to catch her breath.
"I said now!" He screamed gripping her arm tightly yanking her to her feet. His rage only built when she smirked spitting blood that had collected in her mouth into his face.
"You little bitch!" He screamed throwing her across the room before running and connecting his fists with her face once more.
Adder sat upright in bed, sweat covered her body. Her breathing was heavy as she looked around her room. Her hands gripping the sheets tightly. Knuckles turning white as she slowly came too.
She sighed trying to get control of her breathing as she threw her legs over the edge. She rested her elbows on her knees dropping her head to her hands she sighed deeply trying to forget.
She walked slowly towards the kitchen, tears threatening to spill from her eyes as she thought about her father.
'You know I like it when you cry'
Shivers ran down her spine. The hairs on the back of her neck standing to attention as his voice echoed through her memories.
"Oh my fuck!" Price exclaimed as he bumped into adder, she was to lost in thought to notice him before she had walked into him.
Price gripped his chest bending over, his heart hammering in his chest, he closed his eyes tightly, the initial shock beginning to wither.
"Are you trying to give me a fucking heart attack!" He exclaimed taking a few deep breaths trying to calm himself down.
"Sorry" adder barely whispered, She didn't look at the captain tears still brimming in her eyes, instead keeping her eyes trained to the floor as price stood straighter once again.
"are you okay?" He asked quietly, holding her shoulders gently, her eyes remained trained on the floor refusing to meet the captains gaze, he crouched slightly looking at her face, eyebrows furrowed as he examined her face.
"Yes sir" she spoke equally as broken. Price knew the girl was lying she might be closed off to everyone else but he could read her like a book. Her red bloodshot eyes and tear stained cheeks a dead give away.
