"Snipers in position"
Archers voice rang through coms, the elder sniper lifted his head, cracking his neck slightly offering a small nod to toad before returning to his scope watching his team through it. ghost glanced over to roach who returned the lieutenants gaze nodding softly.
"Strike team go. Engage Zachaev on sight. Let's go" Ghost ordered, he gave the signal for the team to move up, they crept through the woods towards the safe house, their guns held tightly in their hands as they moved slowly careful not to make any noise.
They walked through a large clearing, time seemed to slow as ghost watched a number of bouncing Betty land mines rise into the air.
"Ambush!" Ghost screamed as a number of his team dropped to the floor, their hands flying to their heads trying to protect themselves, The sound of gun fire filled the air as bullets wizzed past the team.
"Targets! Left side! Left side!" Ghost screamed into coms, the remaining team member's that hadn't been shot or blown to pieces began returning fire. Ghost looked around before his eyes landed on roach, who seemed slightly dazed and confused, he struggled to move finding cover, his ears ringing, vision slightly blurred as he tried to come to.
"They've got this area presighted for mortar fire!" Scarecrow shouted through his coms, ghost thought quickly he pulled smoke grenades throwing them infront of the team, white smoke erupted around them, masking them from the surrounding Russian hostiles.
"Counterattack into the smoke! Push push push!" The team ran blindly into the smoke, disappearing from each other's sight, ghost plunged his knife into the throat of a hostile who had blindly charged into the smoke, he could hear the sound of gun fire, some from his team blindly shooting trying to take out any enemies.
As the gun fire began to die down, ghost crept through the smoke, walking into roach, he patted the Sargent, roach quickly spinning his gun trained on ghost, as the Sargent realised who had tapped him a small chuckle graced his lips as he lowered his gun slightly, the team pushed out from the smoke towards the safe house.
"We got two trucks leaving the target building." Arches voice rang through coms as the team approached the safe house.
"Don't let those trucks get away!" Ghost ordered, he crouched down in the mud firing at the trucks trying to hit the tires in a bid to stop their escape.
"Roger! Firing Javelin, danger close!" Archer responded.
"Javelin, danger close! Get back from the road!" Ghost ordered moving back from the road, the javelin hit the truck, unfazed the truck continued, Ghost wiped the sweat from his brow as his eyebrows pulled together slightly.
"Bloody hell, these trucks are bulletproofed!" Roach commented.
"Two away!" Archer spoke, two Javelins flew through the air smashing into the trucks, the explosion ringing in ghosts ears.
"Moving vehicles have been neutralized. Be advised, we have not, I repeat, we have not spotted Zachaev, and no one else has left the house. Those trucks may have been decoys Over." Archer informed the team.
"Roger that, we're advancing on the house now! Clear the perimeter! Breach and clear the safehouse! Go! Go!" Ghost ordered before pushing forward skilfully shooting any hostiles he saw, roach covered him following the lieutenant to the door of the safe house. Ghost gave a small nod to the Sargent. Roach placed a large breaching charge on the wooden door blowing it from its hinges. Ghost moved first, gun pressed firmly to his shoulder as he entered the house, firing at the few hostiles sat around.
"Office clear! Ozone, make sure no one leaves through the kitchen." Ghost spoke through coms as roach fired at the last hostile.
"Roger that." Ozone replied before disappearing into another room, there were a few shots fired before silence filled the safe house once more.
