after school i decided to go to daniels house to apologize to him, he's been my best friend since the forth grade and i can't stand him being mad at me. even if it was for a stupid reason.

"hi sweetie. it's been a while, everything alright between you boys?"
"kind of. that's why i wanted to talk to him. is he home?"

"yes, he's up in his room." i nod and give her smile before heading up the stairs in the direction of daniels room. "hi anna!" anna smiles at me before looking back down at her homework.

i knock on daniels door, the door opens but it wasn't daniel who opened it.
"jade?" she frowns when she realizes it was me. "didn't know you were coming over today" daniel says as he stands up and walks over to where jade was standing.

"i uh came here to apologize to you. why is she here?"
"oh i was just leaving actually. before i go though, how's kay?" she raises an eyebrow at me which makes me glance at daniel who just looks away.

"what do you mean?"
"save it zach. i know that you knew."
i try to speak but i can't get any words out, how could daniel do this to me?
she walks past me saying a small bye to daniel before she disappears down the stairs.

"i had to zach. it wasn't fair to her."
"yeah but you could've let me tell her." daniel shrugs, "if you were going to tell her you would've when it happened." i end up leaving,  completely forgetting about apologizing.

i still can't believe he cheated on me with kay. what does she have that i don't?
"jade? are you okay? you're kinda spacing out." i was at tylers house watching a movie with him but my mind was stuck on zach.

"im okay. it's getting late i think I'm going to go home." i get off the couch and put on my jacket that was on the back of the couch. "the movie isn't over yet?"
"yeah I'm not feeling well."

"jade?" i leave his house and get into my car that i finally got out of the shop.
i pull out of the driveway and drive towards my house.
"hey honey, thought you weren't going to be home for another two hours."

"don't feel well. I'm just going to sleep." she's smiling a lot more than usual, it's weird but in a good way. i walk upstairs and go into my room, i was about to fall asleep when my phone went off, someone was calling me but i was too tired to care so instead i just let it ring out before closing my eyes and falling asleep.
