-jade-

it was after school and i was standing at the front entrance of the school waiting for zach. he texted me earlier asking to meet up here and of course he was running late like always.
"jade!" i turn around expecting to see zach but who i see isn't zach.

it was tyler who was obviously supposed to be in practice since he was in his basketball jersey.
"what do you want?"
"i went to drop off papers for coach and i saw you through the doors, can we please talk?"
"fine whatever but not here."
"i just have to tell coach i have to leave. stay here?"

zach walks up to me about five minutes after tyler leaves. "hey! ready?"
"um actually zach i-"
"ready to go jade?" tyler says as he walks up to both zach and i. he throws an arm around me which makes zach frown.

"whats going on here?"
"zach i can explain."
"explain what? jade i really thought we were going to get back together and now what? you're back with him? i wanted to be with you."

"zach it's not like that."
"bye zach." tyler waves him away and walks me to my car. "so let's talk."
"i already know what you're going to say and i don't want to talk about zach."
"just answer one question."
"fine."

"do you love him?"
"im not sure." he nods his head and looks back at the school, "i should get back to practice, being team captain and all."
"yeah." he started walking towards the school when i stopped him by saying his name.

"i do. i love him and im sorry, i never wanted to hurt you ty."
"it's okay. i understand. i hope you guys are happy."
"don't think we will be after today. i just- i don't know what to do."

"talk to him. tell him how you feel."
"i guess I'll try that." i laugh and he opens his arms for a hug. "im sorry i acted like a jerk before." we release from the hug and he walks back to the school and i get into my car.
just talk to him. right.

i start my drive to my house but i end up turning into zachs street. i guess it wouldn't hurt to try. i park on the side of the road, opposite from his house. his car is in the driveway so im assuming he's home.

i get out and walk up to his porch.
i knock on the door and he answers pretty quickly, "why are you here?"
"i think we need to talk." he steps outside and closes the door behind me. we sit on the bench that sits on his porch.

"then talk."
