"homecoming is this weekend! make sure to get your tickets!" student council president, jax yelled as he walked the hallways with a roll of tickets. "yo jax over here man!" christina rolled her eyes as we walked down the hallway side by side. "homecoming is a stupid idea."

"shut up. you're only saying that because corbyn hasn't asked you." we stopped at her locker, she opened the door and saw a bouquet of roses inside. "christina marie harris will you do the honors of being my homecoming date?" corbyn says as he walks in sight with a rose necklace in his hands.

"ah of course! i love homecoming!" i laugh and walk away from the two love birds. i absolutely loved homecoming and i was hoping zach would ask me but since it's this weekend and he hasn't even brought up the idea i think i can rule that idea out.

"jade! hey over here!" jonah yells at me from the other side of the hallway. "what's up?"
"okay so I'm asking tate to homecoming and i need an opinion."
"aw cute! what's your plan?"
"i got a pizza and i wrote, 'i know this is cheesy but homecoming?' how does that sound?"

"very you. she'll love it." i walk away from him and go to my locker. i open it slowly, hoping there was some sort of homecoming proposal. nothing but textbooks was inside. "jade!" i swear if that's one more person either wanting an opinion on homecoming or getting asked I'm done.

"zach! hey!" he looked normal, no sign of nerves or excitement. "so i got tickets to the movies for this weekend. you in?"
"zach... it's homecoming. aren't you going?"
"oh i totally forgot. i guess i could find a tux."
"so you're going?"
"yeah why not."

"guess I'll see you there?"
"maybe the group will meet up beforehand."
"well that would be hard considering some of them have dates. you know, people they asked." i emphasize on the word 'asked' hoping he would that the hint.

today was Monday so at least he had a few more days to hopefully ask me. or maybe i could ask him? a lot of girls ask, why wait around for him to do it.
i decided on going to the store after school to get a poster board and some markers so i can make a hoco poster to ask zach.
