Chapter 14

Charlie's P.O.V.

"Look let's just keep it private and give it time. I don't want to go public just for us to break up in a week. That would be a mess for my reputation and career." I say explaining to Matt as he wants to go public.

"Just think about it, please. I don't want to have you as a secret." Matt comments before I nod.

"Matt, it's only been a week. Let's be patient." I say before he walks out of my room.

It's been a week since Coachella and Matt and I have been secretly hooking up since that night. No one knows of course but it just hurts to not go forward with our relationship but career first as usual.

I grab my phone before heading to the bathroom to take a shower. I take a quick shower before getting dressed and head out to the kitchen.

"Hey." I say as I see Evan finishing his breakfast.

Evan and Natalie did not finish working out but Natalie is secretly talking with Todd. I know I wasn't expecting him. Jeff also has been feeling down because I secretly told him about Natalie and Todd for his own reasons. He is saying that he is getting over her so that's good.

"What happened? You're little boyfriend left and he wasn't in a good mood." Evan asks me as I take a seat beside him.

"He wants to go public but it's too soon."

"It's never too soon if you love him." Evan states before I nod.

"Love is a strong word."

"Charlie, just because your ex-boyfriend pretended to love you. It doesn't mean every guy it's like that."

"As much as I want to stay here and talk about relationships and love. I am heading to David's house." I say as I stand up from my seat.

"You don't even want to stay here and talk about relationship and love." Evan says as I make my way to the front door.

"I'll see you tonight."

"Bye, loser."

I make my way inside David's house.

"Hi." I say as I see David, Jason, Carly, and Erin sitting on the couch.

"Charlie, thank god you're here. Can you film a video with us? Like a girl gossip?" Erin asks me as they see me before I nod agreeing with them.

"You guys can film it in a guess room for privacy." David comments as the girls stand up from the couch.

The three of us head to one of David's guess-room where the girls set up their camera and a ring light. I seat down on the bed before they both join me.

"Okay you ready?" Carly asks me before I nod.

"Today on girl talk, we are talking about boys. Since twitter is going crazy on which guy Charlie is going to pick so let's hear from Charlie." Carly says into the camera as I smile trying to look nice or welcoming.

"So you don't think anybody from the Vlog Squad is cute?" Erin asks me before looking at the camera.

Carly and Erin are trying to get me to confess who I like. I don't want to say out loud that I am dating Matt because we went to keep it low key. Or I want to keep it low-key. Plus, I want to see if this relationship could lead to something. If it won't then we'll just end it and won't tell anyone.

"I think everyone is cute in their own way." I say before Carly playfully rolls her eyes.

"Come on Charlie, you have to give us gossip." Erin says trying to convince me to spill it out.

"I'll give you some gossip. I am David and Natalie's secret child." I whisper into the camera as a joke.

"But for real, if you want to find out who I am dating then you will have to see next video to find out." I continue to speak before both girls look at me.

"You're dating someone?" Carly asks me surprise before I nod.

"Now I know why she wouldn't kiss Jeff." Erin mentions.

"Maybe it's Jeff, maybe it's not."  Erin continues before I nod.

"I don't know, I think Jonah is the one for me." I say joking before the girls chuckle.

"Honestly I see her with Matt. I mean they are both complete nerds. Also don't forget that Matt's celebrity crush ever since he was a child has been Charlie." Carly comments.

I really want to tell the world I am dating him but let's just keep it a secret a couple more weeks.

"What about Jeff? He is pretty attractive." I tell them with a smirk to try and throw them off.

"It can't be Jeff because he doesn't like being in relationships and if he were then he wouldn't hide it. Especially if it's with you because he would love to show you off." Erin says as I look straight at the camera before shutting my focus to the water cup in front of me.

"But on the other hand you have David. You and David have been pretty close since day one. Not as close as you and Zane but close as like being in a relationship. I would totally ship you both." Carly continues to speak before I gag on the water I am drinking.

"I wouldn't see myself with David. I mean he's a nice guy and all but I don't think we are perfect for each other." I say out loud after drinking water because I know Matt would be jealous of David.

I mean the fact that he thought I was dating David in the beginning was kind of weird. I mean I texted and asked Matt to come over all the time  but I never did that with David.

"Who is it?" The asked in a union while facing straight at the camera.

"Watch the next video to find out!" I say into the camera before Carly gets up and shuts it off.

"But honestly we need to know who it is." Erin says after she faces me and I smile just thinking about how perfect Matt is.

"I'll ask him if I can tell you and then I'll tell you." I lie knowing that he wants me to tell them.
