Chapter Thirteen

CHAPTER13

(TrisPOV) A/N: Thanks for all the comments and reads! If anyone has any ideas for what happens at the dance I would love to hear them!

First class went by slowly. Me and Marlene finished up our three pages of notes then talked for the rest of class. When the bell finally rang I jumped up and went to my locker to grab my gym clothes. Christina was waiting for me in the changing rooms.

"So Tris I was looking online for cute hair styles. I found this one we can pull your hair back and curl it then put some pins in so it looks like a bow. And I think I am going to..." She went on, but I ignored her and dressed in my gym clothes. We walked out and Coach K seemed to be in a bad mood.

"50 sit ups, 40 push ups, 30 jumping jacks, 20 squats, 10 lunges, and 5 laps! If you finish before the end of class start over. At all times you must be moving! Go!" She yelled at us. Christina, Tobias, and I started doing push ups next to each other. I was in the middle. When I had finished my push-ups Tobias was starting his jumping jacks.

"How do you go so fast?!" I asked he laughed.

"I will wait for you hurry up." I went fast doing sit ups. It hurt my back from laying on the cold floor. I jumped up starting doing jumping jacks. Tobias was still jumping. "Come on I would like to stop jumping."

"Alright one, two, three, ten, fifteen, nineteen, twenty five, twenty nine, thirty." I skipped numbers and started squats. Ten minutes later I had began to run my laps. I had told Tobias to go on ahead of me. He was far ahead of me running with Zeke. Christina was still doing lunges. I started running trying to catch up with my boyfriend. When I did I giggled and passed him. This was a challenge: who would finish first? I had ran most of my life so this was easy. He caught up with me quickly though. Zeke decided to join in our race. He passed both of us and completed his third lap. On his forth he walked. Me and Tobias ran still side by side. We were almost finished then I ran faster than ever. In a matter of seconds I had won!

"Whoop!" I yelled. He stood staring at me in disbelief. I laughed and jumped up and down. I was out of breath and feeling slightly dizzy from the run. My body began to sway and I felt myself begin to fall. Except someone caught me. I stood up mumbling a thank you to whoever saved me. I turned around to see who it was.

"Beatrice?" A brown haired boy asked me. I would recognize those green eyes anywhere.

"Robert! Hey I missed you so much! What are you doing here?" Robert and I had dated for a while before I moved. He moved into, the house Tobias lived in. I was so shocked to see him here  after going so long without even talking to him. 

"I just transferred from Abnegation Academy. So Bea are we still...technically....dating?" I hugged him then felt a strong hand on my shoulder it hurt a lot. I pulled back and noticed Tobias standing behind me. The way he gripped my shoulder told me he was angry. What had I done now?  I looked into his eyes which were staring at Robert. Was Tobias jealous?

"Robert this is Four. My boyfriend." I emphasized the word boyfriend. Robert looked confused the said, " Oh. Well it was good to see you Bea. I got to go." He walked away leaving me and Four.

"What? We dated for awhile before I came here. Don't worry I love you." I said hugging him resting my head on his chest. I would always love Tobias in a way I could never love Robert. We had a deeper connection.  The bell rang and I ran to the locker rooms. Christina wasn't there so I went outside after I had changed back into my normal clothes. I wasn't feeling well my back really hurt from all that running. I walked to the office. "Hi do you mind if I check out early. My back really hurts." I told the lady sitting behind the big front desk. The staff here never really cared about our coming and goings. 

"Just sign there." She pointed to a binder. I wrote out my name and cause for leaving early. I didn't want to bother Tobias so I just walked home.

I texted him and Christina though so they wouldn't worry about my sudden disappearance.

ME: i am going home early

CHRISTINA: Aw hope u r'nt getting sick b4 the dance and Uri's party

ME: nah just tired

TOBIAS: Ok want a ride?

ME: No it fine I will walk

TOBIAS: u sure?

ME: ya love u

TOBIAS: Love u

When I got home I noticed my mother wasn't here. The house was quiet and for once I didn't feel strained to lock the doors. I yawned and grabbed an ice pack from the freezer before heading up to my room. The hall was was a mess with dirty clothes and junk. If I want't hurting so bad I would clean, but the ache in my muscles reminded me that rest was much better than cleaning. I fixed the ice pack and smiled. The peace I felt was calming and before I knew it I was drifting off to sleep.
