A month later:-

“Well this is nice”, Louis comments, settling on the couch, “What are we watching?”

“Niall will be here any minute”, Harry flips his phone back in his pocket and takes on of the armchair, “he is bringing beer”

“Perfect” Louis chimes, making space for Liam when he walks in the hall, “What are we gonna watch, Li?”

“I don’t know” Liam looks behind, “Zayn?” He shouts, “What do you wanna watch?”

“Diehard”

“Oh yes” Liam excitedly takes his place next to Louis, “Let’s find out what his obsession is all about”

“His?”

“Jake Peralta's”

“Who?”

“You don’t know Peralta?” Zayn asks, joining them, “You guys don’t watch Brooklyn 99?”

“Is it good?”

“The best series on Netflix” Liam claims, “the first episode in and I knew I will kill for that guy- he is that good”

Louis rolls his eyes at the exaggeration but his lips twitch in a grin when Zayn sits beside Liam and plays the movie.

“So you two are getting along, huh?” Louis asks, a lot more interested in this rather than the movie, “since when?”

Liam gives him a look, a blank look before turning his face back on the screen. It settles for a while, Louis is soon captivated by the action sequence but then something catches his attention.

“Pass the bowl,” Louis says, hand aimlessly reaching for the popcorn bowl but when he couldn’t reach it, he diverts his eyes from the screen and is confused on seeing the bowl in Zayn's lap. It wouldn’t have been weird if it wasn’t Liam staring right into Zayn's eyes, giving zero fucks about their company, licking the salty fingers slowly before reaching for more popcorn.

Maybe Louis was thinking too much but he almost chokes on thin air when Liam pushes the bowl firmly into Zayn's lap- right over his-

He snaps his head towards Harry who is looking just horrified and surprised. He arches his eyebrow in a silent question and when Harry shrugs his shoulders, he abruptly stands startling Liam for a second.

“oh shit”, he pretends a gasp, “I almost forgot”

“Forgot what?” Zayn asks, adjusting himself and Louis tries his best to look at anything but Zayn.

“I have a dentist appointment” Louis nods to himself, “Harry drop me- will yeah?”

“Sure” Harry instantly agrees, “See ya tomorrow, Zaynie”

“Everything alright?” Zayn and Liam shares silent looks before looking up at Harry, “You can stay mate”

“I rather not” Harry snorts, awkwardly laughing, “I am not feeling well- so tired, Zee, had a big day”
