Princess Amelia of Illea

December 25th, 2009

I stepped out of the car after my mother and waved softly to the crowd waiting for us. Today was Christmas day and as a tradition before us, the entire Royal Family went to church at St. Edward's Church in Bavaria, Illea.

My mother wrapped her hand with mine and we began to follow my father towards the church.

I looked behind and saw Carlos, Celine, Christopher, Rosalie, and Auntie Anna following behind us.

"Gehst du nach England?" (Are you going to England after?) Momma asked and I smiled softly at her.

"Nicht für Eine weitere Woche. William hat mich eingeladen." (Not for another week. William invited me.) I said as I waved to the children who called out my name.

"Good. I see he makes you happy." She said and I smiled softly at her as we stopped walking and I looked forward to seeing my father talking to the Archbishop.

"Mom, where's Anna?" I asked and my mother signed before smiling softly.

"Anna and Albert decided to extend their honeymoon. Your father is upset they didn't tell him." She said before Dad turned around to us and smiled.

"Come on you lot. Time to go inside." He said and I nodded as I held my clutch to me and followed him into the church.

"Tante Amelia!" (Auntie Amelia!) I heard Celine call out and I smiled as I turned around and saw her rushing over to me.

"Do you want to sit with me Celine for the service?" I asked and Celine nodded as she held my hand.

"Can I?" She asked and I nodded before pulling her with me to my seat behind my parents. I grabbed our two programs and I placed my clutch on the pew before the choir began.

"Gott schütze den gnädigen König! Gott schütze den König!" (God save the gracious King! God Save The King!) We all sang before the Archbishop raised his hands.

"And with that, I hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas!" He said as I clapped softly before I reached down for my clutch before Celine grabbed my hand.

"Sprechen wir Jetzt mit der Öffentlichkeit?" (Do we speak with the public now?) She asked and I nodded as I fixed her headband.

"Yes. And we accept gifts from them." I explained as we followed her father out of the pew and towards the exit.

Once outside I shook hands with the Archbishop who smiled at me.

"Amelia, I remember when you came for your first Christmas service! Now, look at you." He said and I smiled as I fixed my hair.

"I know. It seems like such a long time ago." I whispered and he nodded as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"And I know all the wonder you may do. Have a Happy Christmas."

"You as well," I said before I led Celine where everyone else was at.

"Prinzessin Amelia! Hier drüben!" (Princess Amelia! Over here!) I heard a voice call out and I turned to a little boy who was in a wheelchair.

"Hallo! Fröhliche Weihnachten!" (Hello! Merry Christmas!) I said as I bent down in front of him and shook his hand. He turned to Celine and handed her a box. Celine smiled at the boy before taking it.

"Vielen Dank! Fröhliche Weihnachten!" (Thank you! Merry Christmas) She said before I stood up and waved goodbye to the little boy.

As we walked down the public line I gladly took the flowers and cards people offered to me. Once we got back to the cars I saw Rosalie and Christopher smirking at me.

"Alright, what do you two have planned?" I asked as I handed my new secretary Annie my flowers and cards.

"Why do we have to have something planned?" Rosalie asked and I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Because even though you two arent twins you have your own language," I said and Rosalie smirked.

"Just know my Christmas present is the best." She said as my car arrived and I looked down at Celine.

"Do you want to ride back to the castle with me or your father?" I asked and she held tightly onto my hand as she looked down at the Dollie the little boy gave her.

"You please?" She asked and I smiled before helping her into the car first before sliding in myself.

I waved goodbye to the cameras and crowd before looking down at Celine.

"Are you ready to open gifts?" I asked and she nodded as she looked at her Dollie.

"Yes, Auntie Amelia?" She asked and I nodded at her.

"Yes?"

"Where's my mummy?" She asked and I froze for a moment before looking forward.

"You have to ask your daddy that honey," I said before we arrived at Sella Castle where we spent our holidays. As the car stopped my security detail opened the door for me and I slid to the end of the seat before I climbed out first. I turned to Celine and picked her up before we were led inside the house.

Momma, Papa. Carlos, Christopher, and Rosalie were waiting for us. Carlos walked over to us and I handed him, Celine, before staring at him.

"Sie fragte nach Ihrer Mutter." (She asked for her mother.) I said earning Carlos to stare at me before nodding.

"I'll talk to her" He whispered before we made our way to the red sitting room where we opened presents. When I stepped inside I froze when I saw William sitting beside the tree.

"Merry Christmas!" William said and I froze before rushing over to him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I kissed him softly.

"I wanted to spend Christmas with you. Granny said it was alright." He said and I laughed as we pulled apart.

"I told you my gift would be the best," Rosalie said as she took her hat off and sat on one of the sofas.

"It truly is. Thank you, Rosie!"

"Merry Christmas my love," William whispered as he pressed a kiss to my forehead.

"Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!"
