Chapter 21: Helping Akiza

Helping Akiza

Two days have passed and Xina's wound was almost fully healed. Crow left to go back to the kids. The group and Yusei were fixing up his runner. Xina decided to get some fresh air since she was getting tired of laying in bed. She looks at the clock that was on the wall: 12:23 pm it read.

Xina walks outside and sees Yusei testing his fixed up duel runner. He makes the engine roar. She walks over to him and asks, "How's the runner?"

Yusei looks over at her and says, "It's perfect now. Just a couple more tweaking and it should be set."

Xina looks down and hums. "I am sorry about your duel runner. I know how much it means to you."

"Don't sweat it, Xina. It's not your fault," He reassures her. Then he asks, "How's your stomach?"

"It almost healed. I just couldn't sit in that bed any longer," Xina tells him, making him chuckle.

Blister then walks up to them with his laptop. "Did you hear about what happened last night, Xina?" Blister questions.

"No, I went to bed at five in the evening. Why? What happened?" Xina questions, looking at Blister.

Yusei responds, "A Dark Signer was dueling someone in New Domino City."

"There was actually two Dark Signers, look," Blister says as he shows them the laptop screen. The see two symbols of a lizard and a hummingbird engraved on the ground of New Domino City in the same spot. "The city is into chaos. The Dark Signers decided to turn ten blocks of buildings into rubble. Only thing that is left is the Arcadia Movement headquarters."

"Do you think they went after Akiza?" Yusei questions.

"Probably. She's in the hospital now. I hacked into her records and it sounds like she won't wake up," Blister tells them.

"A coma?" Xina wondered out loud.

Blister nods. Then all of the sudden, gusts of wind started to blow at them as a helicopter comes down to land. Yusei questions, "Who could that be?"

Xina and Yusei sit on one side of the dining room table as a man with a beard and clean suit sits on the opposite side. He happens to the Senator of New Domino City. Martha stands by his side as Blister stood next to the nearby window.

The man then speaks, "I would like to thank you for taking the time to see me, Ms. Fey and Mr. Fudo. I'm here because I need you save my daughter, Akiza."

Yusei questioned, "You're her father?"

"Not a very good one," He responds. "But I am trying to make things right. She's in the hospital suffering from some heartbreak that's my fault. I pushed her away and she joined that Arcadia Movement, and Sayer is missing. She has no one. She doesn't even respond to us. Her own parents, but who blames her. That's why I am here. I heard that Mr. Fudo can wake her and Ms. Xina can help her."
