Unexpressed Feelings

The duel between Xina and Andre made her feel a bit worried for the boys. His strategy and method was unique, unlike anyone she ever dueled before. Although she had high hopes for the boys, like she always does, she still feels worried. There was something off about Team Unicorn that made her feel uneasy; Andre especially.

It was the following day, and Crow and Jack decided to go to Martha's place since they had nothing else to do.

Crow and Jack walk in the building as Crow was holding a brown bag filled with groceries. Crow speaks, "Martha! Blister! Sorry we were late. Traffic was a pain."

Martha smiles once she saw her boys walk in. Blister waves at them as Martha greets, "It's fine, boys. I'm glad to finally see you guys again."

The four of them went to the dining room where they sat at the long wooden table. Blister then asks, "Where's Yusei and Xina? I thought they were coming with you guys."

Crow replies, "Oh, yeah. Well Yusei decided to rain check this visit. He wanted to do more practice runs down at the pier, and he invited Xina so she can help him out."

Jack had his arms crossed, like usual, and his eyes were closed. He tells them, "Let me translate that for you. He wanted to spend more time with Xina down at the pier."

"At least he is doing something constructive. Not to mention that I heard from your landlord, Zora, that a certain someone can't seem to have a steady job," Martha mentions, rather strictly.

Jack looks at Martha before closing his eyes again. "I reject that statement and I won't comment on it."

Crow chuckles at this before he realizes something. "Hey, why is it so quiet around here? The kids aren't here?"

Martha smiles before looking at the doorway that is in the dining room. "It's time to come out, you guys," Martha says, making Crow look at her confused.

Crow turns to look at the doorway to see the kids walking in, grinning, as they were holding something, trying to keep it hidden. Crow gets up from his chair to walk over to them. He questions, "What's going on, you little brats? Were you guys hiding from me?" The kids giggled in response before holing up a large paper. On the paper was a drawing of Crow that they all drew. Crow's eyes widened as he asks, "Did- Did you guys make this?"

Martha chimes in, "They stayed up til 3am. I couldn't get them to go to bed. They really wanted to finish it before you got here."

Crow stares at the large drawing, admiring it. One of the girls says, "We're going to make it like a flag and bring it to the tournament, and then cheer really loud for you and everything!"

"So if you're ever feeling all rumbled up," One boy started.

"Then look up and see this!" Another boy says, finishing his sentence.

The kids hand Crow the picture as he grabs it gently from their hands. He stares at it before saying, "You guys, it's.. I don't know what to say... This is like the nicest that-- Come here, you little nerds!" Crow engulfs them all in one big group hug. "Thanks guys. You're the best," Crow says, trying not to cry.

Jack, Martha, and Blister watched as Jack looked away with no emotion on his face. Martha comments, "You know, Jack, if you smiled a little more, maybe someone will make something like that for you."

Jack took offense to that as he exclaims, "What's that supposed to mean!?"

"It means if you want Carly to-" Blister started but gets interrupted by Jack.
