Chapter 47: Quick Round

Breo and Jean watch as Jack struggled to push his duel runner by himself. Jean smirks, "This could not have turned out better for us. Not only will Team 5D's lose, but it will be a slow and painful loss. All that Andre has to do is complete four more laps."

The group runs by starting line where Xina was now on her duel runner. She waits as she watches Andre complete another lap. And then another.

"Come on, Jack! You're almost there!" The twins shout at the same time.

Crow also shouts, "Come on! Dig deep!"

Jack continues to struggle as he kept pushing his runner. The team's words were encouraging him as he tries to not give up.

The announcer announces:
"Andre only has to complete one more lap. Will Jack reach Xina in time?"

"Come on, Jack!" Bruno says, trying to encourage him.

"Only a few more feet," Dove says, attempting to shout.

Jack was panting. He felt like his body was on fire as his feet struggled on the ground. He shakes in pain as he sees himself really close to Xina. He groans in agony as he rips off the 5D's banner from the sleeve of his suit and hands it to Xina.

Xina grabs it before saying, "Good job, Jack! You did good!" She quickly places the banner on her sleeve and revs up her runner.

"He did it! But how fast can Xina kick off?" The announcer says.

Xina steps on the acceleration before dashing forward.

"Wow! Pretty fast, I'll say! And it's a good thing because to make the switch official, Xina must reach the corner turn quicker than Andre. Otherwise, all will be lost!" The announcer says.

Xina sees that she was beside Andre. She pushes the throttle more, trying get ahead of Andre. He pushes her as he also tries to go faster. The two were racing to see who will make the first turn. Then Xina was able to go faster than before, making her ahead of Andre. She was the first to turn the corner.

Andre's life points: 2700
Xina's life points: 4000

"She did it! Team 5D's are still in this match. Now let's see what Xina has in-store for Team Unicorn," The announcer states.

The team cheered as the twins exclaim, "Kick his behind, Xina!"

Yusei had held up Jack, who was leaning on him as Jack's arm was wrapped around Yusei's shoulder. Jack smiles in relief as he says, "I knew you could do it, Xina... Yusei, look after her." Then his head hangs low, fainting.

"Jack.. He needs some help!" Yusei exclaims, turning to the two medics that awaited by the tracks.

Before the two medics could do anything, Carly, Mina, and the cafe waitress appear out of no where. "Out of the way," Mina tells one of the medics.

"Yeah, move it, Bozo!" Carly says before the three girls run up to the nearby stretcher.

Yusei looks at the three girls before teasing, "He may need mouth-to-mouth."

"Great!" The three girls say at the same time. They push the stretcher over to Yusei and Jack. They put Jack on the stretcher and the three girls took Jack to the WRPG clinic.

Once they left, Yusei looked at one of the hologram screens to see Xina and Andre were about to start dueling. Yusei thinks, I know you can do this, Xina. I believe in you.

With Xina and Andre

Andre thinks as he looks at Xina, who was ahead of him, Xina, you may have managed to get ahead of me again and you may be the girl of my dreams, but it is time we finish things where we left off. And I won't hesitate to defeat you.
