Chapter 12: Crimson Dragon and A Pair of Evil Eyes

Crimson Dragon and A Pair of Evil Eyes

"Get ready for the duel you all have been waiting for! The turbo duel between Jack Atlas and Yusei Fudo!" The MC announces loudly. The stadium was half empty because of the last duel between Akiza and Xina scared most of them away. There was plenty of damages around the stadium, but it is being ignored.

Xina was with Yusei, who was getting his red duel runner prepared for the duel. Yusei gets on his duel runner and placed his red helmet over his head.

"Please be careful, Yusei. I am afraid that this duel is going to end with someone hurt," Xina admits as she looks at Yusei with worry in her eyes.

Yusei looks up at her and noticed how worried she looked. "Xina, no matter what happens, I will always be okay. Besides, I am going to win this duel," Yusei tells her with a small smirk.

Xina smiles slightly before saying, "I know. But for me, be extra careful."

Yusei nods and responds, "Anything for you, Xina."

Xina eyes widened a bit. She felt her cheeks warm up as she looks away from his gaze. "Well," she coughs. "I should, uh, be going to the stands now. Good luck," She stutters before leaving the garage, not giving Yusei a chance to have the last word.

Yusei watched as she scurried out of the garage. He smiled at her nervousness, which made him lightly blush. He loved the fact that after those couple years of not being together, she was still caring.

"It's time folks! Now give it up for Yusei Fudo!" The MC exclaims.

Yusei drives onto the track and goes to the starting line. He looks at the stands and sees Tanner, Yanagi, Luna, Leo, Dexter and Xina. Yusei wondered, "I told the kids to get out of here, unless Goodwin made them stay."

"Next is the king of duels, Jack Atlas!" The MC announces.

Jack drives onto the track and goes to the starting line. The cheerleaders are waving their pom-poms as they cheered for Jack. Yusei and Jack glance at each other. The two best friends were now rivals. They both give each other a threatening look as they made their duel runner engines roar.

The speed world activates. Soon the countdown began.

Duel!

Yusei and Jack immediately stepped on the accelerator causing them to fly passed the starting line. Yusei was the first to turn the corner.

Start of Duel

"I draw!" Yusei shouts as he drew a card. "I summon Shield Wing in defense mode! [ATTK: 0/ DEF: 900] I then end my turn with two facedowns."

Yusei: 1
Jack: 1

"Well then, I draw," Jack says as he draws. "I summon Twin-Sword Maraduer in attack mode! [ATTK: 1600/ DEF: 1000] Attack Shield Wing!" Jack shouts.
