Chapter 4: Annie Leonhardt

So the girl sat down next to Eren. She kept on reading her book without either talking or looking at the brown-haired boy.

Sasha: I wonder who is she... Of all the people on this bus, I've never seen HER before...

Historia: Me neither!

Mikasa: She seems familiar to me...

Historia: Really? Do you know her?

Mikasa: Well... I remember seeing her somewhere, but I don't remember her.

Historia: Oh... I see...

Sasha: She doesn't seem very talkative, honestly.

Historia: She seems very calm, though...

Mikasa: ...

Mikasa knew the girl, in fact. But she didn't want to say it to anyone or to her friends, yet.

Jean noticed the girl next to Eren and stared at Mikasa. Marco was sitting next to him reading a newspaper.

Jean: Hey Marco, we got some hot chicks on the bus here 😏😏

Marco: Huh? Chicks? Where? *Looks out at the window*

Jean grabbed his head and forced him to look at Annie and then at Mikasa.

Marco: Oh

Jean: 😏

Marco: Jean, stop it. You don't even know them yet.

Jean: I actually do 😏😏

Marco: Bro we went to Trost Middle School! Those two went to Shingashina Middle School! How do you know them? Have you even seen them?

Jean: Of course I have, innocent Marco. You don't know about ladies, you're too innocent to do such thing.

Marco: No Jean, I actually respect girls.

Jean: Pff... Don't talk to me like that freckle face.

Marco: *giggles* anyway who are they? Do you know the others?

Jean: The black-haired girl, in the back, in the four seats, her name is Mikasa Ackerman. She's so cool and badass. And pretty, too.

Marco: Oh, maybe she's Mr. Ackerman's niece or something...?

Jean: that's what you're concerned about?!?!

Marco: Jean calm down... I'm just not interested in relationships and all that stuff like you, okay?

Jean: I can tell.
And the blonde girl sitting next to Mikasa is Historia, the brunette is Sasha. I've known Sasha ever since we were little kids.

Marco: I see ... Do you have a crush on her?

Jean: Me? Crushing on Potato Girl? No!

Marco: I was joking *giggles*

Jean: And the girl right there...sitting next to Eren...

The girl turned around to look at Jean and Marco. She gave them a freezing look with her icy blue eyes.

Jean: U-Um... We were just wondering...um... What's your name?

The girl replied in a very neutral and cold, stand-offish way.

Annie: My name is Annie... Annie Leonhardt.

Eren: Oh, nice to meet you Annie, I'm Eren *smiles a little bit*

Annie glared at him and looked away. She kept on reading her novel. Eren felt awkward.

Eren: Okay... _she's not very talkative I guess_

The bus finally arrived at the school. Annie got off the bus by herself, while Eren waited for his group.
