Chapter 19: Mysterious Girl

The high school students all united in the school Auditorium, so that the school council president, Hitch Dreyse, and the vice president, Marlowe Freudenburg, would announce the plans for the Halloween party in the upcoming weekend.

Mikasa: I hate crowds...

Ymir: Pff, same.

Historia: Hey guys, do you think they'll have a slow dance at some point of the party?

Eren: I don't think so, they prez and viceprez pretty much know everyone in this school is single, then again, who knows.

Armin: Shut up Eren, you're in a relationship, Ymir and Historia too, so you've got nothing to complain.

Annie: Why ruin a Halloween Party with romantic stuff?

The others were silent when she said that.

Eren: Oh well, Annie, you'll definitely find a date as well!

Annie: Thanks for the positivity.

The meeting began, as Hitch kept on banging the hammer on her desk.

Hitch: Attention everyone! All students hear me out: on Saturday, October 31st, starting at 8 pm, the Halloween Party will begin!

Everybody cheered and was excited, except for the very introverted students who barely liked seeing people (namely, Annie, Mikasa and Ymir).

The teachers clapped, except for Mr. Ackerman who kept his arms crossed and a grumpy look on his face.

Hitch: I must thank all the clubs of the school for contributing in the preparations of this big party! And of course, all of the class presidents!

The students kept on cheering, Hitch was getting all the attention, while Marlowe was just standing there slouching.

Hitch: And of course, we also thank all of the teachers, and the school principal, Mr. Erwin Smith, for allowing us to throw the party!

Music began to play in the Auditorium and it was quite loud, then Hitch announced the plans for the party.

Hitch: The party will take place here, in the Auditorium: there will be horror houses, Halloween games, lots of candy and finallyyyy... A slow dance for the couples!

The students screamed and shouted in excitement, even if not all of them were looking forward to the Slow Dance.

Annie: You've gotta be fucking kidding me.

Armin: I know, right?

Ymir: Well, Historia, looks like they're all gonna be looking at us - she said, winking.

Historia blushed a little bit.

Eren: Come on, Annie, it won't be that bad. You'll find someone!

Annie: Eren, seriously, the only boy in the entire school I tolerate is you.

Mikasa glared at her with her icy grey eyes, Annie rolled her eyes at her.

Eren: Oh... Well, I feel quite honored!

Annie: You should be.

Mikasa pulled Eren's sleeve, but he was too busy paying attention to Annie.

Eren: Um... I like your eye color by the way.

Annie: Wow, whenever we talked where did you look at? The wall?

Eren: Hey, it was a compliment!

Annie smiled a little bit.

Armin noticed.
