Chapter 12: From words to hands

Mr. Ackerman: So, Jeager. I liked how you presented the subjects we've done in math, and how fast you were at solving problems with second-degree equations. Very good job. But that doesn't mean I like you. I'll award you with a B+.

Eren: motherf- yes. Thanks sir.

Eren, smiling, went back to his seat. Annie could see how his eyes were sparkling with excitement.

Armin, whispering: Great job, Eren!

Eren: Thank you.

Mr. Ackerman suddenly left the class when he received a phone call, and stood outside for the rest of the hour.

Eren wanted to go back to talk to Annie, so he turned his chair around and smiled at her. Then he called Mikasa. "Hey, dear! Come and meet Annie, you guys have never talked to each other so I think we can all have a nice chit-chat together".

Mikasa at first smiled, then she kept a grin, but she was quite angry and it was visible, mostly for Armin.

Mikasa: Sure.

Annie kept a straight, serious face, but she smirked a bit in disapproval when she had to talk to Mikasa.

Armin came immediately jumping over because he knew something would've went wrong if he weren't there.

Eren: Mikasa, Annie here and I are very great friends. We have many things in common but our personalities are slightly different.

Mikasa: That's nice to hear.

Of course, sarcasm immediately started flowing in her words. And not only hers.

Annie: What a pleasure to meet your childhood friend and present girlfriend.

Mikasa: Yes.

Armin was a little confused, his eyes looked in different directions.

There was an awkward silence about at least a minute, then Eren brought up a topic.

Eren: So, Annie, what do you think of this class? Also, I've never asked you, is there anyone here you've known for long, other than the three of us?

Mikasa: Well we barely ever talked so-

Annie: Well, I've known Hitch since Junior High.

Eren: Cool. I didn't imagine that since Hitch had a very crazy and extroverted personality while you have a very calm and quiet aura. Kinda like Mikasa.

Mikasa: Well yes, I'm very calm. But when I get angry, I'm quite feisty.

Annie: Oh, I see. You're not the only one.

Eren: Speaking of pissed, Annie, I've never seen you angry.

Annie glared at him with her icy blue eyes.

Annie: I know.

Armin was a bit nervous about the whole angry thing, since he barely ever lost his cool comparing to those three.

Eren: Oh well, almost everyone here has seen me angry.

Annie: Barely anyone has really seen me angry. Only Hitch has seen me angry, once.

Mikasa: Armin and Eren have seen me angry multiple times.

Armin: Yes😅 it was a bad sight. I remember one time in middle school she got into a fight with another girl during a school trip. The ones from Trost Middle School were standing there yelling "FIGHT! FIGHT!"

Eren: The only two people who feared seeing the fight were horseface and Marco.

Annie: H-Horseface? You mean Jean-?

Eren: yes! - and he burst out in laughter.

Mikasa: He kinda creeps me out.

Annie: Oh, me too. Whenever I get on the bus I always fly immediately to the back to avoid him, because if I sit right in front of him, he stares at me as if God just took the stairs to get down from heaven.

Armin giggled at the little joke.

Eren: Well, that's why me and my dudes call him... - and he whispered- El Creepo.

The three of them all laughed, but some others overheard it, without understanding who "El Creepo" was though and went back to their own conversations.

Jean, who also overheard them, snapped. Marco tried to get ahold of him and calm him down, but it was impossible.

Jean came up behind Eren and tapped on his shoulder.

Eren turned around with a very annoyed look on his face and when he saw who is was his eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.

Jean: Listen, punky little wannabe, just because you get so many girls even if you're a total ASSHOLE, doesn't mean you can talk shit about other dudes... In private though.

Eren smirked.

Eren: actually Jean, the only wannabe, and PEEPING TOM I see here is you.

When he said "Peeping Tom", Jean snapped and punched Eren in the face.

Eren, who, for what we know, is a very short-tempered boy, immediately reacted back by kicking him in the knee.

As Jean jumped back because he was hurt, Eren got up and started punching him.

Jean spit in his face to block him for a split second, and then went to kicking him as well.

The situation went totally out of control.

Mikasa: EREN! - she kept shouting at the top of her lungs.

Armin: STOP BEATING UP EACH OTHER! YOU'RE CAUSING SO MUCH CONFUSION! EREN CALM DOWN! - but none of those two listened to him.

Sasha yelled out: SOMEONE CALL A TEACHER! OR THE JANITOR BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED!

After the entire fiasco, Mr. Ackerman caught them, violently grabbed both of them by the shirt and sat them down on a chair. Jean has a purple eye and he was bleeding from his lip. Eren had a bump on his cheek and a bruise on his arm.

Annie, in all that time, had her mouth open in shock. She felt a little bad for Eren being hurt, but all that could have done was sending him to the nurse's office.

Mr. Ackerman called the principal and reported the two students. Now there wasn't only a female rivalry in the class but also a male rivalry that had to be solved.

The parents were shocked about the happening, so the next day, they went to school to see what was going on in that class when the two began the fight.
