Armin: Mom, please! Eren and Mikasa will be there! Nothing will happen!
Armin's mom: you know how many teenagers get drunk at parties like these?
Armin's dad: Maybe we should let him try it out. He's not the type of boy to do such things, and his friends aren't either.
Armin's mom: Fine... Make sure to be home by 10 pm at least.
Armin: Thanks mom!
The blonde boy left happily and met Eren outside his house.
Eren: so what did they say?
Armin: I can come!
Eren: That's great! My parents agreed too.
The two boys reached the bus stop and met the usual trio, but this time, Annie was with them too.
Annie was mostly talking to Historia.
Historia: I think I'll dress as a fairy, I have the dress already and one of my old tiaras from when I was 8 years old, all I need is a fake wand and fake wings.
Annie: I don't know what to dress as, honestly.
Mikasa was silent and barely talked, since Annie's presence literally irritated her.
Eren: Hey Annie! I was just looking for you!
Annie: Oh, hi Eren. I was actually looking for you too.
Mikasa opened up her ears after hearing Annie's words.
Annie: Since I'm alone, I was wondering if you would like to go to the Halloween Party at Sasha's restaurant with m-
Eren: Of course! Totally! Mikasa, Armin and I are also going, pretty much everyone in class is. What will you dress as?
Annie: Well, I don't exactly know.
Meanwhile, the bus arrived. Annie and Eren kept on talking very fluently and while talking, they even sat down next to each other.
Mikasa was dead jealous, but just kept quiet and kept her face straight. Armin could tell something was wrong.
Eren: I think a vampire would fit you, but then the wig would ruin your hair. Maybe you could dress in black with a crown and be something like the Queen of Darkness.
Annie: I mean, I could see myself in a dress like that. With a mask on, it would be even better.
Eren: I fully agree.
Annie: I need to cover my ugly face.
Eren stood silent for a second, because he wanted to disagree with her. But he hesitated, otherwise Mikasa would've thought that he was flirting with her.
Eren: You're not ugly. He said so laughing it off.
Annie: Hm... Anyway, what are you gonna dress as?
Eren: I have no idea. Maybe a pirate, perhaps.
Annie: Maybe dressing like a clown would be a good idea. Oh wait, you already are a clown.
Eren: But- and then he began laughing.
Annie sighed.
Annie: Seriously talking, maybe you could dress as one of the Musketeers.
Eren gasped.
Eren: Holy shit! Why haven't I thought of it?
He turned around to Armin and Mikasa.
Eren: Armi-boiii, do you think a musketeer suits me?
Armin: Sure! I don't know what to dress as yet, though.
Eren: Maybe a ghost.
He noticed Mikasa's facial expression, thinking she was sad.
Eren: What is it sweetheart? - he said stroking her cheek.
She immediately smiled saying - Nothing, I barely got sleep last night.
Eren knew it wasn't true.
Eren: Okay then, try to go to bed earlier tonight.
Mikasa: I will.
Mikasa was jealous but deep down she realized Eren cared for her, so she immediately calmed down.
Armin: I told you there was no need to be jealous, he loves you. He just likes talking to Annie.
Mikasa: Yeah, I guess... I'm quick to being jealous, you know.
Armin: Of course, I'm one of the only people to know that.
The bus arrived to school, and Eren and Annie kept on talking all the way to class. They seemed like two best friends who have known each other for a very long time.
Some boys from other classes whispered in the background "Hey what's up with Annie Leonhardt and Jeager-nerd?"
Mikasa heard them and wanted to snap their necks, but Armin immediately told her to chill out. He held her hand firmly to comfort her, and walked her up the stairs to class.
When they came in, Hitch was handing out papers where all the plans for the party were written.
Eren: A Dance? Oh... I hate romantic dances.
Annie: Me too...
Eren: Well, this year will be the only exception.
Annie: What do you mean?
Eren: I'll join in.
Armin: I... Don't think I will honestly.
Mikasa: Of course Eren, it'll be me and you, right?
Eren: Yes, definitely.
Mr. Ackerman came to class running late and slammed the door.
Mr. Ackerman: Sit down, kids, I have to start signing the homework you'll have to do during the Halloween break.
The students all groaned, and opened their textbooks.
Writer's note: Hello everyone, I'm deeply sorry for updating the story so late, I can't believe the last time I wrote was in January. There have been a lot of things going on lately, in my personal life and in general (coronavirus, schools closing, etc.), so since I was often stressed I barely felt like writing. I hope you enjoy the new chapter. 🌼
