blinded by the thought of us

It was just Austin and I in the limo with one of his good friends who decided to roll an extended blunt which had me fried off the first hit.
"I don't want to embarrass you," I told Austin honestly. "I'm also attempting to stay out of headlines because my ex would have a field day."

"And that's understandable. I'll introduce you to my managers wife and she'll be more than happy to have someone to hangout with."

We had arrived ten minutes ago but I waited in the limo for Eliza. The door opened and a beautiful woman jumped in.
"Nice to meet you, Natalie." She shook my hand and then handed me a double shot of fireball.

It burnt my throat and I honestly liked it. I didn't drink much anymore because of Sophia and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"It gets crowded and it gets wilds."  She was shouting to me as we approached the stairs. The guard let her right by and she linked arms with me. I love when woman befriend each other so easily.

There was a lot of people, that was for sure. There were a couple stripper poles with girls on them already, a few pool tables, darts, and a full bar. I looked down over the crowd and saw a mechanical bull. I smirked and thought about how obliterated I'd have to be to get on that.

When I saw Austin finally, he smiled and waved me over. I was handed a shot and we did a cheers to a good night before tossing it back.
"How often do you drink liquor?" I asked him as he handed me another shot.
"I figured I'd loosen you up to have a good time." Our glasses clinked again and we sucked them down as friends approached him.

I awkwardly and nonchalantly faded out and away to the bar where I found Eliza.
"You good, girl?" She asked as she the her cherry from atop her drink.
"Can I go home now?" I whined like a kid and looked at the clock. 12:30 am. I pulled out my phone to text Rachel.

Rach 🤞🏻
How is she?
Leave me alone and get tanked. I got this in the morning.

What if I honestly wanted to just go home? Eliza handed me a drink and asked if I wanted to play some pool or pong. I decided pong because I hadn't played since before I met my ex. Before I even met Austin.

Who was currently being chatted to by a beautiful tan skinned girl. He was smiling but hardly looking at her - his eyes were scanning the room for me. I decided to ignore it and have fun with my new girl friend. I sunk the first two shots and the two after that.

Austin approached me with a new drink and put his hand around my waist.
"I call winner," he told us before whispering in my ear. "You'll won either way tonight."

My arms were covered in goosebumps within a single second and I looked into his blue eyes.
"You're distracting me." He furrowed his eyebrows together and I turned to miss the first, making the second.
"Are you good?" He asked me, turning my body to look at him.
I clenched my jaw and contemplated on telling him the truth; I'm jealous. "Absolutely. You have other people to worry about right now Austin. Go ahead." I smiled my fakest and most convincing smile but I'm not sure it worked.

Just ask he was about to say something, a loud announcement was made over the entire club.
"What's up everybody?! We want to make Mr Post Malone himself feel welcome so why don't we make sure he hears y'all's love loud and clear."
