An entire two months had gone by since the proposal and still, we couldn't be happier. Today Rachel, my mom, Sophia and I drove out to LA on a road trip. Austin was recording there for the week and offered for us to stay at his home in LA. This was actually my first visit, though I was nervous, I was excited to see the city where 'Dreams come true'.
"Some of these dresses are outrageous." I felt guilty that Austin made a joint bank account for the wedding, urging me to use it for everything and to not spend a dime of my own. Little did he know I had been buying decoration slowly and little things here and there. "Oh my god, this is gorgeous!" I didn't want a princes ball gown, but I did love the look of an A line dress that clung to my body but then as it got to just under my butt it began to flare. "Try it on momma! Sophia was looking for her own dress and to an extent I'd let her choose. I stuffed myself into the dress and took a long look at myself. I never even got this far with Dalton. My breath caught in my throat as I looked at the tag - not because of a high price, but because this dress was everything I wanted and it wasn't over $300.

"My best friend is beautiful!" Rachel was clapping and saying "that's the one," over and over. My mm approved too and Sophia was staring in awe but was quick to continue looking for her own dress.
They pinned my size and sent the dress to a warehouse to be resized since it was a dress that was no longer carried.
Next we found a dress for Sophia - light pink with tule from her waist to her ankles. I bought that on the spot because it was nearly perfect.
"When exactly is the date?" Rachel asked as we order off the lunch menu, waiting for further Austin to join. "We haven't mention a specific date. I'm in no rush." Sophia announced her need to pee and my mom gladly took her. I couldn't stop bouncing my knee and Rachel noticed. "Don't tell me you're getting cold feel.." I shook my head and looked around before leaning in. "I am fucking terrified, Rach." She gave me a look like I was crazy and I continued. "As soon as I put that dress on I felt beautiful but then..I thought about what I'm really getting into. A marriage is a bind to someone. For life, Rachel."
"Okay okay. This is what a maid of honor is trained for." She raised her hand to the waitress and ordered me a strawberry margarita. "You love him. More importantly he loves you and your daughter. He's willing to prove that to you by 'binding' himself to you. What more can you ask for?" "Rachel I already know all this. I'm just scared I'll end up hurting him." As my friend looked into my eyes, she went to opened her mouth yet stopped as she looked behind me.
"What's up ladies?" Austin greeted us and looked absolutely sexy. With a black pair of snug ripped jeans and a pink shirt with all white vans. He wore a ball cap backwards and I loved how casual he looked. Any way he dressed, he was always handsome, but something about him in vans get to me.
