Kurt was determined to stay at home instead of going to the party. All of the 'popular students' were invited, which means it's basically just the football team and the cheer squad. Many of the 'losers' from other clubs would also show up, but Kurt knew that the party would only cause trouble. When Noah Puckerman was going, there would undoubtedly be loads of alcohol. Finn would probably be drunk when he came home. Kurt really wanted to avoid alcohol and stay in his room to read a book. Blaine had asked him to come plenty of times and even promised to stay by his side at the party, but the fashionable boy had just told him that he would stay home and not drag him away from Santana at the party. Kurt didn't have a costume either, so he wouldn't be able to go anyway. Just then, his phone buzzed.

Mercedes
Hey Kurt, wanna sneak into the
party at Santana's tomorrow?

He quickly sent her a reply.

Sorry, Boo, I don't have a costume
and parties aren't my thing ;(

She replied with an 'okay, see you in Glee', and Kurt threw his phone on the bed while being in deep thought. He didn't want to go to that irresponsible part that probably broke the law, but his friends wanted him to go.

Blaine arrived at Santana's house at 6:19pm dressed as a police officer with sunglasses on to cover his eyes, because Santana made it clear that hair and eyes had to be covered up, when she invited people. The Latina was decorating a little together with Brittany when he walked inside of the house, holding a small box with some cans of beer.

"It's a bit early for you to come, and if you want to arrest me, my name is Mike Chang." Brittany said, taking her eyes off the decorations she was holding in her hands to look at him. She wore a short pink skirt and a purple T-shirt. She also wore some sunglasses with small rainbows on them and a horn in her forehead while her long hair was pulled into a high ponytail.

"Britt, it's me." He took of the sunglasses after carefully placing the box on a table. "Blaine." His girlfriend walked over and pecked his lips.

"Babe, I need to talk to you." Blaine followed her into her room and sat on her bed while she was standing by the door that she had closed. "Okay, so, people will start running through my front door in less than an hour, maybe the person with the note is coming too. That's why I wanna ask you to not do something stupid." Blaine opened his mouth to say something to defend himself, but got cut off before he had a chance to say a word. "You need to stay by my side most of the time. Understood?" The dark haired boy nodded his head slowly. "Good, now lets go find some more alcohol." She smiled at him and walked out of the door, Blaine following close behind.

"Dude, I'm going now before all of the snacks are." Kurt look up from his book and raised an eyebrow at his 'brother'. "Wait, what if there isn't any snacks? They know that I'm coming, right?" The boy on who was sitting crisscrossed on the bed didn't want to deal with that and chose to try get him out of his room.

"What a lovely surprise. Looks like some actually decided to talk to me for a change." He scoffed. "And yes, there will be snacks. Blaine told me when he tried to convince me to go." He said, waving his right hand towards to tell the tall teen to get out. It worked to opposite way of what he expected, because the boy by the door walked further into the room and sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Kurt, I'm so sorry." The shorter boy snorted.

"Get out Finn. Can't you see that you're interrupting my reading?" He lifted his book in front of his face to let Finn see that he wanted to read in peace. Frankenteen looked at the book cover.

"The Great Gatsby can wait for some minutes, don't you think? Even though I had no idea that it was book. I just thought it was a movie." He chuckled a little as he took the book away from his 'little brother' and shut it. Kurt was shocked at Finn's actions.

"Finn! You should've at least let me put in my bookmark!" He let out an annoyed sigh and let Finn talk. That would probably be the only way to get back the book that was still being held in the tall teen's strong hand.

"Sorry for that too. I wanna apologise... for-" he stopped to think of right words to make his apology acceptable. "For everything. Blaine came to talk to me in the locker room and he told me that you were very hurt by me ignoring you and for that I'm sorry. I know I haven't treated you very nicely since our parents started going out. I actually don't think I have treated you nicely. Especially after me and my mom moved in, but they're married now. It's not that I tried to ignore you, I have just been trying to figure out what was happening. I've been an only child for all of my life and I grew up without my father. Then all of the sudden I ge-" He got cut off by the teen who had been silent ever since his book was shut.

"You forget something. I am in the same situation as you. Don't you think this has been weird to me too? I'm used to be living on my own with my dad, and now I have a new mother and a brother all of the sudden." Finn placed a hand on Kurt's shoulder.

"But you're gay. I've been so worried that you might like me, or if people start thinking that I'm gay if they see us together when I have a girlfriend."

"I don't like you!" Kurt tried to defend himself. "Sure, I introduced our parents to each other, but that doesn't mean that I like you! I don't like anyone in that way."

"Then I wanna apologise for thinking that and ignoring you for it. I think the two of us should go somewhere at some point. Maybe Breadstix. Just the two of us. It might not change anything, but I think we should get to know each other. Then we might be able to see ourselves as brothers at some point. We can take baby steps if you'd like that." He smiled at Kurt and waited for his response. The shorter teen was deep in thought.

"I'd like that. It'd be nice to stop acting like strangers and not be so lonely at home. I think it would make my dad happy too." Finn smiled once again.

"My mom too. Well, I better be going to the party." He handed Kurt the book. "Are you going?"

"God no. I don't have a costume and I actually want to be able to remember this night when I wake up tomorrow morning."

"If you decide to go, I'm sure you can make a costume in a short time." He hugged the pale boy and exited the room. Just as Kurt started looking for the right page, the tall teen appeared in the doorway once again.

"Yes, Finn?"

"Did, um, did Blaine mention what kind of snacks?"
