"Just as we've planned, don't screw this up." Santana told him as they were calling each other in the lunch break. Then she hung up before he had a chance to reply. After he asked Kurt out and he assured him that he would break up with Santana, the answer the pale boy gave him was yes. That's why he was now walking to the Cheerios' table in the cafeteria, where his 'girlfriend' had just sat down between Brittany and Becky Jackson.

"You cheated on me?!" He hissed, just like they had planned. He looked around and saw that almost all of the students by the other tables turned their attention towards the Cheerios' table. When he glanced at the Glee Club's table, he saw Kurt turn his chair to get a better look, and his eyes met Blaine's. They both turned their attention to Santana.

"Sure did, but apparently I'm not the only one." She hissed back while standing up, tilting her chair over. The few students that were looking in other direction were definitely looking at the scene now.

"You slept with almost the whole football team, Santana!" She snorted.

"I'm sorry, I should've known that you wanted to do that." She chuckled at her own words.

"You know what? I'm tired of you and your attitude! Santana, I'm now officially breaking up with you." He hissed.

"Great! I'm tired of being a beard anyway!" After she yelled that, he rushed out of the cafeteria, and she rushed out of the other door. When he was about to arrive at his locker, his phone buzzed with a text.

Santana
Good job, Hairgel.

He sent a quick reply before putting his phone into his locker.

You too, Tana.

After school, Blaine found himself knocking on a door, which was actually pretty hard with a set of crutches. When the door opened, he was relieved to see the face of a familiar woman.

"Hi, honey, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Finn isn't home. He decided to do his homework at Rachel's house this afternoon, and he won't be ba—" Her eyes widened when she saw the crutches. "What happened to you?

"Hi, mrs. Hudson. I actually came to see either you or mr. Hummel, and I got tackled and sprained my ankle." He smiled warmly at her and she returned the smile, stepping aside.

"Come in, come in. You must be freezing out there." He nodded and entered the house. After struggling to take off his coat and shoe on the good foot, he sat down on the couch with Carole, who had placed a small chair for him to place his sprained ankle on. "What did you want to talk about, honey?"

"I just wanted to inform you that I have asked Kurt out on a date, and that I won't ever hurt him." Carole looked confused, but nodded slowly.

"So you're—" He nodded slowly. "I thought you had a girlfriend?" Her tone made it sound like a question instead of a statement.

"I did, but I never liked her as more than a friend. We were only a couple to—" She cut him off.

"I get it, and I'm glad that you found interest in Kurt, but are you completely sure that asking him out was the right thing to do?" He nodded again.

"I'm sure. I feel like it's the right thing to do." Carole smiled at him again.

"If you're sure, then I'm wishing you two the best on your date, and I'm sure that Burt does too, but I want you to know Kurt is very fragile." Her smile quickly disappeared. "He has been through a lot in his life, and we don't think he can bear to get hurt again."

"I promise that I will never hurt him." The smile immediately appeared on her lips.

"You're a good kid, Blaine, and if you say that you'll treat Kurt well, I believe and support you." Then she did something Blaine didn't expect her to do. She pulled him into a tight hug. "Now tell me about your plans for the date." She said when they pulled away.

"Okay, so..."

When Blaine was lying in his bed that night, his phone buzzed next to him. He checked it and saw a text from Kurt.

Kurt
Hi Blaine. Are you okay after what
happened at lunch earlier?

Yeah, why wouldn't I be? She did
cheat on me with almost the whole
football team, excluding the two
of us. It's actually an amazing
feeling to finally get out of the
relationship.

Kurt
So it is true that she was just your
beard?

Yup, she was.

Kurt
Oh wow.

But at least I don't have to pretend
to be straight anymore, thanks to
whoever took the picture and wrote
that article.

Kurt
It was so wrong. You shouldn't
have been outed. Especially not
like that. I wish we could find
out who it was.

Kurt, it doesn't matter at the
moment. What matters now is
that I'm finally out of the
relationship with Santana and
agreed to go out with me ;)

Kurt
Mhmm.

It will be great, Kurt. I can assure
you that it will be a good date.

Kurt
We haven't even found out when
to go out yet. When do you want
to?

Is tomorrow night okay?

Kurt
That's fine :)

Great!

Kurt
What have you planned for the
date? I'm excited.

I'm not going to tell you.

Kurt
Blaineeeeee!

Kuuuuuurt!

Kurt
Please tell me.

Not gonna happen.

Kurt
Will you please tell me when and
where to meet you?

Nope. I'll let you know
tomorrow.

Kurt
It better be a good date, Anderson.

I promise that it will be ;)

Blaine turned off his phone and placed it on his bedside table, the huge grin on his face didn't dissolve for a single second. He couldn't be happier in that very moment, and he was sure that nothing could ruin the perfect night he had planned for Kurt the following day.
