"Great. I'm an alpha with performance issues."

Stiles and I run through the trees, trying to find Scott. We turn a corner and Stiles runs into a figure, the three of us screaming until Stiles and I realise that it's just Scott.
"You scared me." I state, holding a hand over my chest.
"Sorry." Scott chuckles.
"I think we found something." Stiles tells him.
"So did I." Scott says.
Stiles and I glance at one another before leading Scott through the forest until we eventually reach a small opening in the rocks. Stiles shines his light inside to see dirty pieces of clothing on the floor as well as teddies.
"It's a coyote den." Stiles says.
"Werecoyte." Scott corrects.
Stiles reaches forwards, grabbing the blue coat from the rock. "It's Malia's. It's the same one from the photo, remember?"
"We shouldn't be here." I tell them. "She's not going to come back now, we just invaded her home."
"Our scent's gonna be everywhere." Scott agrees.
"Can you track her now?" Stiles asks. "You think you got her scent?"
"Maybe." Scott quietly replies. "I'm just worried that if I do it, I won't be able to turn back."
Stiles sighs. "The door's still open."
"This is a crime scene, right?" I say, looking at them. "I think this is a little out of Deaton's league and more of the Sheriffs."

The Sheriff finishes searching the den, walking over to us with a small blanket in his hand.
"You sure it was her?" The Sheriff asks.
"I look her right in the eyes and they glowed just like mine." Scott answers.
"But it wasn't a girl." The Sheriff whispers. "It was a coyote, right?"
"If it was a full moon and she changed while her mom was driving then anything could've happened." Scott tells him.
"Horrible things could've happened, which is probably what caused the accident." I continue from Scott.
"Dad, think about it." Stiles begins. "They're driving and Malia starts to change. She goes out of control, the mom crashes, and everyone dies."
