"Right after you drove her out of her mind?" "Collateral damage."

My eyes slowly flutter open, making me look around at my surroundings. I find myself a hospital room, slight confusion crossing over my face. I feel a hand in mine and so I look over to see Stiles.
"Stiles?" I call, my voice hoarse from not talking.
Stiles' head immediately shoots up at the sound of my voice filling the silence, a sigh of relief leaving his mouth.
"Did you find your dad?" I question.
"Yeah.." Stiles quietly replies. "He's in surgery right now."
I nod. "Are you okay though?"
"No." Stiles admits. "I was scared I was going to lose you. I'm scared I'm going to lose my dad."
"I'm fine." I reassure. "We can see your dad once he's out of surgery."
Stiles nods then I scoot over, patting the bed beside me. Stiles climbs into the bed and I rest my head on his chest.

I was released a couple hours ago but Stiles and I stayed in my hospital room, waiting for his father to come out. I wake up to the sound of sniffles and Melissa's voice.
"They're stitching him up right now." Melissa tells Stiles.
"Okay, I wanna see him." Stiles says, beginning to slide out of the bed.
Melissa stops him. "The anaesthesia needs to wear off. It's going to be at least two hours. You and Y/n can stay in here until then."
"Okay.. Everything's going to be okay though, he's okay?" Stiles quietly asks.
Melissa smiles. "He's going to be just fine."
Stiles sinks back beside me, letting my head rest on his chest again as he wraps his arm around me. Melissa smiles at us then exits the room. I hear Stiles taking deep breaths to calm himself down so I take his hand, rubbing the back of it with my thumb.

"Two hours ago, he was fine." Stiles tells the doctors and nurses as we stand outside his father's hospital room. "Now it looks like somebody took a baseball back to his neck."
"There could've been some minor internal." Dr Geyer suggests.
"Minor internal?" Stiles repeats. "When is anything internal minor?"
I begin to ignore the conversation, noticing Scott standing on the other side of the doors. He's looking into the room where Sheriff Stilinski is laying.
