"You cant just erase people. They leave things behind."

Scott, Liam, Corey, Mason, and I stand in the room they claimed the Ghost Rider came in. We all look up at the black marks made on the ceiling.

"It's a point of impact from a lightning strike." Mason tells us. "Usually you'd find charred spots like that on the ground after a violent thunderstorm."

"That's how the Ghost Rider got in." Scott says. "He rode the lightning."

"If they can use lightning to get past he mountain ash then no place is safe." I state.

"What about the others?" Corey asks. "It's my fault that they're marked."

"We'll find a way to protect them. All of them." Scott reassures.

Lydia looks at the library card with Jake Sullivan's name. "It's a relic."

"What's a relic?" Malia questions.

"An object with a fixed association to the past." Lydia explains. "Jakes ID was left behind after he was taken and Gwen found her sisters bracelet on her bedroom floor."

"How can someone be erased and still leave something behind?" Malia asks.

"A conservation of mass." Lydia tells her. "The total mass of any isolated system remains constant."

"So even the Ghost Riders have a weakness." Scott says.

"A relic would be proof that a Stiles existed." I begin. "Maybe we can bring him back."

"You want to search my house?" The Sheriff asks Lydia and I.

"People are leaving things behind." Lydia replies. "So if Stiles left anything-"

"Why would it be there?" Stilinski questions.

"You cant just erase people. They leave things behind." I state.

Stilinski sighs. "I couldn't sleep last night so, um.. I got up, figured I'd do some paperwork. The files were in the back of my car so I go to the garage and some junk has fallen off a shelf and I stubbed my toe on an old baseball bat. Without thinking, I yelled a name."

"Stiles." Lydia and I whisper at the same time.

Scott texted me that they've gotten the people at the party underground so Lydia and I head to the Stilinski household where we look around for a bit. Lydia begins to walk into the hallway she saw someone before so I follow behind her.

"Lydia." I whisper, pointing at the small gap in wallpaper.

Lydia reaches forwards and begins to rip at it when Claudia suddenly appears, gripping Lydia's wrist tightly.

"What are you doing?" Claudia exclaims.

"You're hurting me." Lydia states.

Claudia lets go of Lydia's wrist, reaching up at trying to put the wallpaper back into its place.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that." Lydia apologises.

"I think that's something we can agree on." Claudia hisses.

With that, Lydia grabs me and we exit the house, climbing into her car. There's something off with Claudia and that's something Lydia can agree with me on.

"Go help Scott and the others, I'll fill you in on anything I find." Lydia tells me.

I sit on the bleachers beside Mason, watching the game intently. They're losing at the moment and I can tell they're more focused on finding the Ghost Riders than the game.

"Parrish can help." Mason suddenly says. "He stopped the beast and he stopped the Ghost Rider at the party."

"The hellhound is just a saviour in general then." I comment, jokingly.

Mason suddenly stands up, running away without saying anything. The team just keeps getting injured, everyone fighting. Thunder rumbles throughout the sky, Hayden making her way over to me.

"Call your sister, tell her we need to meet Parrish at the school right now." I tell Hayden. "Mason said he can keep everyone safe."

Lightning fills the sky, rain pouring down on us. The whistle blows, everyone getting off of the pitch but I run out to Scott and the others.

"We've got all three, right?" Scott asks.

"Scott, there were four." Liam tells him.

Scott and I grab Corey's hand, revealing one of the players being dragged across the floor by one of the Ghost Riders where disappearing with a puff of green smoke. The other Ghost Riders surround us, trapping us in a circle. Liam and Scott push everyone behind them for protection, including me. A Ghost Rider lifts its gun, shooting at one of the players who disappears in a cloud of green smoke. Scott and I let go of Corey's hands.

"I can still see them!" I exclaim.

"Me too." Scott replies.

Liam roars at them, running forwards and knocking one to the ground as he repeatedly punches them. The Ghost Rider rises to his feet, shooting another player and making him disappear.

"We can't stop them." Liam yells.

"Protect Gwen!" Scott growls.

"I should've gone with Lydia." I mumble to myself.

Gwen suddenly runs out from the circle, yelling to provoke the Ghost Riders. I run forwards to grab her but it's too late. She disappears in a cloud of green smoke like the others. With that, the Ghost Riders disappear and the rain comes to an abrupt stop.

"What happened?" Lydia asks as she makes her way over to Scott, Malia, and I in the hospital.

"The Ghost Riders took everyone. We barely slowed them down." Malia replies.

"Have you found anything?" I ask Lydia.

"I found out Claudia never had child so Stiles can't be her son." Lydia tells us.

"What about a relic?" Malia asks, Lydia just shakes her head. "There never was a Stiles, was there?"

"It doesn't even sound like a real name." Scott adds.

"We have to keep looking." I insist. "Stiles has to exist somehow."

Lydia nods in agreement. "We can check the school records again or call Scott's dad-"

Malia sighs. "We're fighting the wrong battle."

"We're trying to bring Stiles back." I protest.

"The Ghost Riders came back and we still have no way of stopping them." Malia begins. "The Ghost Riders are real, Stiles isn't. We can't keep chasing someone who isn't real."

"He didn't leave anything behind." Scott adds.

"Just us." Lydia says.
