"Trust me, if anyone's going to get us out of here then it's Scott."

"Something happened at the recital." Jennifer begins to tell Derek, an innocent look planted on her face. "I need to tell you before you hear any of it from them."
"From who?" Derek questions.
"Scot, Stiles, and Y/n." Jennifer replies, staring into his eyes. "They're going to tell you things that you can't believe, you have to trust me."
"What is it?" Derek asks, pretending to be confused.
"Don't trust her." I speak up.
Jennifer spins around on her heel to see Scott, Stiles, and I standing at a distance behind her. We have been ever since she walked in. We informed Derek about everything that happened at the recital.
"So.." Jeniffer begins. "They told you it was me? That I'm the one taking people?"
"We told him that you're the one killing people." Scott states, anger laced in his voice.
"Oh, that's right." Jennifer begins, chuckling. "Committing human sacrifices? Cutting their throats? Yeah, I probably do that on my lunch hour so I can get back to teaching English the rest of the day. Makes perfect sense."
A tear slides down Stiles' cheek. "Where's my dad?"
I slide my hand into his, squeezing it slightly to let him know that I'm still by his side and that everything will be okay.
"How should I know?" Jennifer says, turning back to Derek. "Tell me you don't believe this."
Derek glances over at us before looking back at Jennifer. "Do you know what happened to Stiles' father?"
"No." Jennifer insists.
"Ask her why she almost killed Lydia." Scott growls.
"And Y/n." Stiles adds, glancing down at me as his hand remains in mine.
"I don't know anything about that!" Jennifer exclaims, playing the guilt card.
"Lies." I blurt out.
Derek shakes his head. "What do you know?"
"I know that these three are filling your head with an absurd story for no reason." Jennifer tells him then turns to look at us, glaring. "One that they can't prove, by the way."
I hold up a small pot that contains a tan coloured dust inside. "What if we can?"
"What is that?" Jennifer questions, her voice quieter than before.
