I woke up to the sunlight streaming through my curtain. I sat up in bed and stretched my hand. I looked around my room....and realized where I was. The memories of yesterday's events came rushing back and I sat there for a few minutes, shocked. I was thinking that maybe this was just a dream.

I got up and walked over to the bath room, deciding to take a shower. After a long nice relaxing shower, I went over to my closet and put on jeans and a plain white shirt. I pulled my crazy hair into a ponytail and walked out of my room.

This time there was no guard waiting outside my room. Looks like I'm going to have to find my way to the living room.

As I made my way, I looked at the pictures lined up against the wall. Some were family pictures, as others were pictures of a single person. I saw a boy and a girl whom I assumed would be Sinaya and Rodger. They both had the family feature, pale complexion and light brown eyes. But where the other females are petite, Sinaya was tall and built. She had a nice shape with straight blond hair. Rodger was also tall and built, with curly blond hair.

They all looked happy, together as a family. But apparently one member was missing. I looked away. As I continued walking, I came upon a picture. And there I was, at around the age of five. I was standing in the middle of Kameron and Kate while Robby was on his stomach in front of us. Rodger and Sinaya were standing behind me. We all looked happy.

After getting lost a couple of times, I managed to find the living room. Everyone was already there and so I
walked over.

"Good morning." I said, awkwardly standing there.

"Good morning." said Kameron as I took a seat next to Kate. She seemed happy that I did.

"How did you sleep?" asked Robby, cheerfully.

"Good thanks. " I replied. I wasn't in the mood of talking about how well I slept. I just wanted an explanation.

"I have an idea. Lets all take whatever we want to eat and go to the main room." suggested Queen Tara.

Everyone agreed and we all went to the main room. It wasn't as big as the rest of the rooms but it was still big. There were couches placed in a circle and a TV. I chose the sofa that only seats one person and everyone smiled when I did.

"You used to love that sofa when you were a kid. You and Kate used to always fight over it." explained King Sorak.

"But that's impossible. I was adopted at the age of 2" I replied. I wasn't trying to be bitter, I was just stating the truth.

"This is a long story." said King Sorak "but for you to understand, we will begin with a little history"

"Oh let me tell her." said Kameron. "As we told you, there are magical beings. The Maligns, the Laris and the Damtals. Now the Damtals have a long history but anyways they have been divided into the Damtals and the Carsims."

I thought back to when I first met Stark. He told me that I was in Carsim territory.

"So when the Lari fell in love and had a child with a human, the Maligns were not happy. They said that it ruined the whole idea of remaining a pure magical race. The Damtals agreed with them. The Laris, of course, were on our side. And so were the Carsims." said Kate.

"Ok so far I get it." I said when they all looked at me for a reply.

"Now when I was younger, war broke out between the two groups." said Queen Tara. "You see, when Charlotte came to Charilot, she questioned how the magic was balanced. She didn't believe that it just happened. I mean, why can't humans do magic? But after a long journey, she found a bracelet. This bracelet is the most powerful thing ever known. If you have that with you, then you are the most powerful being."

I nodded. So far this made sense, if you looked past the magic part.

"Now this bracelet had been a secret only known by Charlotte and her descendants. Until recently that is. The Maligns found out about it and were furious." said King Sorak.

"The biggest war took place when you were 5. We almost lost against the Maligns. But at the last minute, we started winning." said Kate.

"Yay!" I said.

"Not really." said Robby. He was quite during all this.

He continued "The Maligns knew they wouldn't win. One Malign in particular had the bracelet in his hand and did the only thing he could think of. He made a prophecy. He was killed right after. But the prophecy had already been made."

"This is where you come in." said Queen Tara. "Listen to the prophecy. 'Six is the unlucky number. Sixth is the unlucky child. Shall cause you pain or bring back what you have lost. The Kingdom shall rise or the people shall die'"

I sat there, shell-shocked. I'm the sixth child. Suddenly I felt cold and a shiver went up my back. Shall cause you pain.... Those words kept repeating themselves in my head.

"That's why we did what we did." said Queen Tara with a sad look.

"Please understand. It wasn't safe for you or anyone." said King Sorak.

I nodded my head. I truly did understand why they did it.

"But it didn't work." Robby said, bitterly. "Sinaya and Rodger disappeared. Running away didn't fix anything."

"Is that why you decided to tell me all this. Why you left me the key?" I asked.

Everyone looked at each other.

"We never decided to tell you." said Kate.

"Then how come I'm here?"

"That would be because of us." someone said. And just when i thought that this couldn't get any more confusing, I turned around and saw three people. Gomin and his parents.
