Chapter 16: Royal Families And Meetings

Gomin and I decided to do a little research on The Great Book. We decided to go on the internet but of course came up empty. I decided to search the library, and after hours of arguing and protesting, Gomin agreed to come with me.

"This is terrible. We won't find anything about The Great Book in this room filled with a thousand great books." Gomin complained.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm checking the History section. I'll check section A and you check section B."

"Uhhhhhh fiiiiine."

We were sitting in the library for 10 minutes when Gomin started singing. Well...tried to sing anyway.

"And at last I see the light." he sang.

"Are you singing a song from Tangled?" I asked with a raised eye brow.

"What. It's better than THIS!" he defended, pointing at his book.

"I don't mind you singing it. I'm just amazed you watched the movie and learnt the song." I said with a smirk.

"Uh-Kate made me watch it." He defended.

"Suuure. She also made you learn the song." I said, sarcastically.

"Exactly."

I rolled my eyes. Such a child!

Suddenly Sorak came in.

"Hi Mickey. I was looking for you! I was wondering if you have any plans now?" he asked.

"Uh. No, not really." I said.

"Perfect. The king of Larington called a meeting and he wanted you to come with me."

"Ok. That's ok."

"Be ready in 15 minutes."

"Ok." I said and Sorak left.

"Nice. Your ditching me." Gomin said.

I laughed.

"Oh and now it's funny." I opened my mouth to say something but Gomin interrupted me. "No. No need to make excuses. It's too late, I've already been hurt." he said, wiping a fake tear away.

"Wow. And they say girls are drama queens." I said.

"Ouch. Your on a roll today."

"Whatever. I'm gonna bounce."

"Thank goodness. We are done with this nonsense."

"No we are not!" I exclaimed. "We are coming back here later."

Gomin put his hands on his ears and started jogging away. "Can't hear you. Byyyyeeeee"

I chuckled. Oh this boy. I went to my room and started to get ready. I put on jeans and a pretty top and put my hair in a messy bun.

I went downstairs and was waiting for Sorak when Tara came.

"Hi dear." Tara greeted.

"Hi. Are you coming to the meeting?" I asked.

"Ya."

Sorak came downstairs then.

"Lets go guys."

We called a cab. The one thing I liked about Tara and Sorak is that they don't like showing off. Their the king and queen of Charilot and own a limo and their own cars but they like to call a cab and not make a scene. They don't use their privileges for the wrong reasons.
