Recap:

“Sophie. Will you marry me?”

He pulled out a ring that was, well. Bling, bling. The diamond was large and the band silver. He picked out something that matched me in so many ways.

“Sophia Gail Ross. Will you marry me?” He asked on one knee.

Oh my gosh.

.............................................................................................................................

“Um, Aaron, do you realize what you’re saying?” I asked. “Cause you’re insane.”

“Why wait Sophie?” His eyebrows were pushed together in confusion.

“Your mom just died Aaron. This is not the time!”

“Sophie… I bought this ring over a week ago,” He murmured. “When I saw my mom sick. It got me thinking.”

I looked at the bling he was holding.

“But Aaron, marriage,” I said. “That’s a big.”

He nodded. His eyes were as eager as a beaver. This was not a good time to propose. I mean, we just got home from the funeral of his mother.

I looked at him and started making a mental pro/con list.

Pros: We could live together, we could be committed completely to each other, and also I love him.

Cons: My parents will be so angry if I did, I’m super young, and also he hasn’t been so committed in the past.

I got up, leaving him still on his knee and then went to the bathroom, peed, washed my hands and came back, taking my seat on his bed again.

“Vegas, for one, is a stupid, stupid choice to get married at. I’m not a cheap hooker Aaron,” I spoke my mind. “Also, I want my parents there because they wouldn’t believe me if I told them. And lastly, if I said yes, then it would be a small wedding. Meaning us, my parents, your dad, and our siblings. Even Rachel and Troy if you want, and I get to wear a fluffy princess wedding dress.”

I didn’t say yes. But I didn’t say no either.

“So if we have a small wedding, you will say yes?” He asked slowly.

“Bingo.”

“I agree completely. A small wedding. But soon.”

“Then, yes Aaron Fonda. I will marry you soon.” I said. Never thought I’d say those words out loud.

He kissed me fiercely. So all I have to do is tell my parents right? Uh oh.

Aaron drove while I blabbed about how to tell them.

“Maybe sending them a nice Hallmark card?” I suggested.
