Mrs. Akabane- Height (5'6), dark red hair (a long Bob with bangs), light brown eyes, wears a white blouse with black dress pants and a black coat.

Nagisa POV
After all of 3-E had graduated and left Kunugigaoka Junior High School everyone had gone their separate ways, even me and Karma separated.
I stayed in Japan to continue my studies to become a teacher whereas Karma moved to the United States to inherit his families company.

Since our second year of high school we've been dating and this is the first time being apart from each other.
It's been one full year since I last saw him, besides texts and phone calls.

But I finally get to see him today, the 24th.
....
Because of his schedule he couldn't come any earlier.

I had finished cooking dinner and looked over at the clock.
It was currently 16:30 clock (japan time)
'They'll be here soon'
My heart was pounding, in just a few moments I will get to see Karma again.
.....
I was setting the table when I turned to look out the window.
"!!!"
I gently put the plate down and walked to the window, gently placing my hand on the cold glass.
"It's snowing...."

I sat myself on the couch, wrapping myself in a blanket waiting for them to come.
....
2 hours have passed by and Karma as well as his parents have still not come.
"....."
Just then my phone rang
"!!!"
I quickly picked it up
"Karma!? Are you ok!? Where are you!? Are your parents there!?"
"We're fine, we're at the airport, but..."
"...But?"
"We're stuck here. All flights have been cancelled because of the snow"
"I see"
"I'm sorry Nagisa"
"You don't need to apologize, I'm not mad"
"I know you're not mad, I just don't want you to be alone. It's your first time without your mom"
I couldn't help but smile
"I'm fine...."
"I love you Nagisa"
"I love you too"
I hung up and looked up at the ceiling, taking a deep breath.

It's been 5 months since mom passed away.
....
Since dad left us, we only had each other, but when Karma came into my life our family grew.
Every year Karma's parents would come back to Japan and have dinner with us.
They were kind and accepting of us and mother was more than happy to have them over.

But this year was the toughest.
Halfway through the year when Karma was in America, mother got sick and passed away.

Because of how busy he and his family were, they couldn't make it to her funeral.
But I don't hold it against them, I never did.

I looked at the time again
It was 23:49
'I don't think they'll make it'
"...."
"...."
A few seconds passed and I took out my phone again, scrolling through my contacts and calling the number at the bottom of the list
"...."
It was quiet
"The number you dialed is unavailable at the moment, please leave a message after the beep....beep"
Taking a deep breath I spoke
"Hey dad, I just wanted to um.....wish you and your family a merry christmas....bye" I hung up and covered my face with my hands

After another hour of doing nothing I got up to turn off all the lights and walked back to the couch, wrapping myself in the blanket and closing my eyes drifting into darkness.

Ring Ring
I opened my eyes after hearing my phone ring
"Hello" I answered half asleep
"Sorry to wake you, but I have a surprise for you"
"Karma?"
"It's outside, and freezing"
After hearing that sentence I dropped my phone and ran to the door.
"!!!
When I opened the door I saw Karma standing there, his parents behind him
"Karma!"
Without thinking twice I threw myself on him
"Woah!" He quickly caught me and  wrapped his arms around me
He chuckled lightly and kissed my head
"I missed you too Nagisa"

We all settled inside the living room, seated on the couches warming up while Karma opened the gift I got for his birthday.

As we were eating the cake Mrs. Akabane spoke up
"We're sorry for coming so late, it must have been lonely without your mother here" she smiled
"It's fine, If anything I'm sorry you had to spend most of your time at the airport"
"It's nothing really, we got used to airports" his father chuckled
I smiled at his statement and leaned on Karma
"Happy Birthday Karma"
"Thank you" he kissed my forehead
"....Oh! That reminds us!" His mom spoke after remembering something
"We have a surprise for you"
"Eh?" I looked up at Karma in confusion but he only winked at me
Mr. Akabane walked up to me and handed me a thin binder
"What's this?" I asked
"Open it" Karma said
I did as was told and found a single paper inside
"???" I pulled it out and read the contents
"!!!"
After I had finished reading it I looked up at them
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah. We're moving our company to Japan" Mrs. Akabane smiled
"We won't have do leave anymore" Karma hugged me from behind
"Thank you!"
"Merry Christmas Nagisa"
