Karma's Proposal

Karma pov
Today was the day
After 10 years of friendship and being in a relationship for 4 years I was finally going to do it.
I was finally to to ask Nagisa go marry me

It was going to be perfect.
We will have dinner at the most expensive restaurant and then I would take out the ring and propose to him.
What could go wrong

"Hey Nagisa want to go out and eat?" I asked
"Thanks but I already ate" he smiled as he was grading his students papers on the couch
"Want to take a walk then?"
"Maybe later"

After 3 hours Nagisa was finally done and we went out to our nearby coffee shop since the restaurant I booked earlier closed.
But this was fine.
As long as I'm with Nagisa.

As we were waiting for our order to come I grabbed Nagisa's hands
"Nagisa, we've known each other for well over 10 years"
Nagisa only smiled
"...we've also been going out for 4 years"
"Karma?"
"You've always been there for me and I want to be there for you..."
"..."
"Nagisa will you-"
"Here's you order!" The waiter said, placing both our cups of coffee on the table
"Thank you" Nagisa said to the waiter

When the waiter left Nagisa turned to face me again
"What were you saying earlier?" He asked
"I'll tell you later" I smiled, drinking the coffee that was infront of me

The minute we finished our coffee we stood up about to leave when
"Nagisa!"
We turned around and saw Sakura
"Sakura, what are you doing here?" Nagisa asked surprised to see the pink haired girl
"I was going to do some studying, but since you're here would you help me"
"Of course, you don't mind right Karma?"
I smiled at him
"Of course not"

We went over to the library and there Nagisa helped Sakura write her essay and help her solve a couple of her math problems.
While he was helping her I sat infront of them, reading a book

When Nagisa finished tutoring Sakura she thanked us before walking off.

"What do you want to do now?"
"It's getting dark...how about a late night stroll" I suggested
"Ok"

We decided taking a little hike would do both of us good.

As we were walking the small trail Nagisa's phone rang
I heard Nagisa sigh before answering
"Hello"
"...."
"Hey Kayano"
"....."
"Sorry, I'm a little busy"
"...."
"I'll take to you later, bye"

He hung up and looked up at me
"Shall we continue"
"Yeah"

Once we reached the top of the small mountain we stood at the edge, watching the view infront of us
"It's soo pretty"
"Yeah" I said before sitting down on the bench that was placed for tourists
"Karma" Nagisa spoke before walking towards me
"I'm sorry"
"Why?"
"You had something to tell me, but you never got the chance to"
"That's not your fault. We just kept getting interrupted"
He smiled and sat down beside me
"Well I'm sure we won't be getting interrupted here" he stated
A smile spread on my face

I held his hand and made him face me
"You are the world to me, and I want to spend every waking hour with you"
"...."
I then took out a necklace and put it in Nagisa's hand
He looked at it and then at me
"A necklace?"
"Flip it over" I said

He did as was told and once I saw his eyes widen I got down on one knee and waited for him to turn around
"Karma!"
"Nagisa..." I said before pulling out a small box and opening it
His eyes widened when he saw the diamond ring
"Will you marry me"
"..."
Nagisa just sat there with his mouth opened before getting off the bench and hugging me  tightly
"Yes! Yes I'll marry you!"
I smiled and pulled away, placing the ring on his finger
"I love you" I told him
"I love you too" he said, cupping my face and kissing my lips

After a couple of minutes we sat back on the bench and I took the necklace that was still in Nagisa's hands
"May I?"
He nodded before handing to me
I took it and walked behind him, wrapping it around his neck
Once it was secured I sat back next to him, holding his hand and bringing our foreheads together.

The words written on the necklace brought a smile to my face
