Chapter 24

IT was slowly... but surely getting out of hand.

Isang linggo na simula nang makauwi kami mula kila Theo, the first three days was just fine. Nag-uusap kami araw-araw. Kahit na busy ako, I always made time to make sure na makausap ko siya kahit saglit... dahil yun yung pangako.

Fourth day without him... also without his calls. Not to be clingy kasi baka busy siya. Pero miski text ay sobrang cold. Mag-t-text nga, pero palaging ako lang ang nauuna.

Ngayon ay sinusubukan ko siyang tawagan dahil wala akong pasok.

"Wala pa rin?" tanong ni X, pagkalapag ng kape sa lamesa.

And... yes. X was here. Kauuwi niya lang
Nung miyerkules, nagulat nga ako pag-uwi ko galing school ay nakabukas ang pinto, akala ko si Theo, siya pala.

I sighed as an answer.

Humigop ako sa ng kape na iniabot niya at umupo.

"Try to call Thea," X suggested.

"I already did. But she said Theo was just fine," I answered.

Totoo naman. Sinubukan kong tawagan si Thea kung kumusta si Theo but she just said that Theo was just fine. Nang magtanong siya kung bakit ay hindi ko na lang  sinagot. I didn't want to open this to anyone, aside X ofcourse, dahil ayokong mag-conclude.

I let out an exasperated sigh at ibinaba ang tasa ng kape. "Kailan alis mo?"

X said that she just went here to see me at may binalikan kasi yung kasama niya. "Ba't ka sumama?" I teased. She just rolled her eyes as an answer.

"Ewan ko. Baka bukas," sagot niya. Halos hindi na ako sanay sa tuwing pinkish ang labi niya. It's morning at wala naman siyang lakad kaya hindi siya nakasuot ng black lipstick ngayon.

But she's still wearing black pajamas.

I raised a brow. "Pwede na siya?"

She shrugged. "Siguro. Siya na nagyaya eh."

I grinned at her.

She was about to say something when we heard the door open and close.

"Z!"

Nagkatinginan kami ni X nang marinig si Ginny na humahangos papasok.

"Oh?"

Ginny's wearing a red mini dress with her red stiletto. Her eyes were filled with worry.

Nanatili namang tahimik si X at nakatingin lang sa kaniya.

"Nakita ni papa."

I didn't know why but I could feel my heart beat so fast when I heard her say that. Hindi ko pa alam kung anong nangyayari kaya bakit ako kinakabahan.

"Alin?" It was X who asked that.

Ginny settled her eyes on X. Before she could say anything ay dumiretso siya sa ref ko at uminom ng tubig.

She blew a breath before speaking, "yung pictures natin with Theo. Nakalimutan kong hindi niya nga pala alam, my tounge slipped." She bit her lips.

My eyes widened. I can't lose this job.

Only X was calm at this moment pero alam kong nag-iisip din siya.

Ginny sat in front of me. "Anytime today, he-"

She was interrupted when my phone started to ring. We looked at it. It was tito.

My hands were shaking as I picked the phone up. "H-hello?"
