Everyone was was asleep. Except for Johnny. His head was laying on Dally's shoulder, he was worried. Really worried. Soda and Darry weren't able to get there yet because of work.
"Family of...Pony..Ponyboy Curtis?" Johnny immediately sprang up, waking Dally up. "Th-That's me"
"Ponyboy Curtis?"
"Y-Yeah I'm his..brother..?" She looked skeptical but shrugged it off. "He's doing alright now. But it'll still be a while before you can visit him. Get some sleep kid, will you?" She said before walking away. Dally lead him back to his seat, since Johnny was half asleep. Johnny repeatedly slapped himself to stay awake. Dally grabbed his wrist, "Hey stop that."
"N-No..gotta..wake" was all that Johnny could say, Dally shook his head "No c'mon you gotta sleep, Johnnycakes" Johnny shook his head,
"Pony.."
"We won't be able to see Pony till tomorrow morning." Johnny shook his but Dally placed him in his lap and began to kiss his cheeks, "C'mon sleep." Johnny nodded and laid his head on his chest, falling asleep.
