"i don't get whyd you have to bleach my hair," i muttered, still upset on it. "man you look good with it!" betsy smiled, poking my hair. "besides, now it looks like you're in a film running away!" I just rolled my eyes, laughing "yeah, yeah" i said. she got up and i did too, smiling. "where we goin?" 
"dont know, somewhere to eat though im starvin. and we gotta get you a new phone. damn thing is so cracked how do you see it?"

one thing that confused me was why betsy had to work. that girl lived in a manor! "hey ma!" she shouted, i suddenly felt like an intruder. 
i saw a stunning lady with red hair coming down the stairs, she looked 30 and a lot like betsy. "oh my gosh betsy is this your boyfriend?" she asked, i noted a accent. i froze when she said that, oh sh- suddenly the room filled of laughter. "oh hunny, my names Rebecca, Betsys mom. that girl is as straight as her father." that made me smile. i felt safe here. 
"imma take poor johnny to my room before you scare him. dinners coming at 5!"
"Carly Betsy! tell me you didnt just order Kentucky fried chick-" The door closed before i could hear the rest. "pops married thomas, our milkman. i visit him from time to time. i, will marry me a girl." she smiled to which i returned. 
Maybe things will be okay.



Dally.

"i dont know where he is! He left a damn mess-"
"A damn mes- Oh dear lord our prayers have been answered! A damn message aint gonna find him!" 
"calm do-" 
"dont you tell me to calm down when johnny isnt in his house, in the lot, or even in Oklahoma!"
"Look we're gonna find him!"
"When?! I want johnny here. Now!"
"If you werent such a damn idiot johnny wouldnt even be gone! Johnny is gone and it is all your fault! because if you werent a heartle-"
"You were the one who told him! I couldve taken care of it!"
"Taken ca- you wouldve kept going!"
"What the hell is going on here?!" 
The room went silent. Everyone was on the verge of tears and Soda had yelled. what the hell was going on?
"Just tell us what's going on. Dally." i looked at ponyboy who was just as scared as me. 
I covered my face, rubbing my eyes with a hand. "dally." 
"Im going to search for johnny." I got out of the house and into bucks car. 

where the hell could he be?
