Chapter 36: Hostage

Sako: "O nīchan! ! ! Tasukete! ! !" (Brother!!! Help!!!)

Kato: "Nani!?" (What!?)

I entered Kotori's room and saw a man holding a knife and pointing to the neck of Sako.

Man holding knife: "1-Inchi mo idō shinaide kudasai! Soretomo, anata wa watashi ga kanojo o korosu tame ni shitaidesu ka?" (Don't move even an inch! Or maybe you want me to kill her?)

Before that happens.............

Sako and I on our way to the hospital to visit Kotori. We talked about our past about how we became friends with Kotori.

A few minutes later, we arrived at the front entranced of the hospital. We walked into the hospital and Sko went to the counter nurse.

Sako: "Sumimasen, ojōsan." (Excuse me miss.)

Nurse: "Hai, otetsudai dekimasu ka?" (Yes, may I help you?)

Sako: "Watashi wa Omada Kotorī no heya ga doko ni aru no ka wakarimasu ka?"(May I know where's Kotori Omada room is?)

Nurse: "Omada Kotorī...Kanojonoheya wa 5-kai de 7-bandesu. "(Kotori Omada...) -Searching Kotori name at the computer- "Kanojonoheya wa 5-kai de 7-bandesu." (The room is on the fifth floor of the room 7)

Sako: "Hai. Okusama, arigatōgozaimashita. (Okay. Thank you ma'am.)

Nurse: "Anata wa hitori de kimasu ka? "(Do you come alone?)

Sako: "Watashi wa watashi no onīchantoisshodesu."(I'm with my brother.)

Nurse: "Watashi wa totemo taihen zan'nendesu. Anata ga hōmon shitakatta kanja wa, dansei hōmon-sha ga kanojo o hōmon suru koto o kyoka shite imasen." (I'm so sorry dear. The patient you wanted to visit does not allow any of male visitor to visit her.)

Sako: "Naze?" (Why?)

Nurse: "Dōshite ka wakarimasen. Shikashi, anata no otōto wa kanojo no heya no soto ni ite mo kamaimasen." (I don't know why. But your brother can stay outside of her room.)

Sako: "Ōkē..., Okusama, arigatōgozaimashita." (Okay..., ma'am, thank you.)

Nurse: "Dōitashimashite." (You're welcome dear.)

Sako went to me and explained what the nurse told him. I understand the situation then we go to the Kotori room.

Sako: "Koko de mateyo, Oke?" (Wait here, OK?)

Kato: "Hai. Watashi no tame ni kanojo ni aisatsu shite kudasai." (Yes. Please greet her for me.)

Sako: (I will.)

Sako entered the room. While I was waiting in front of Kotori's room. I called Kaneko.

Kaneko: "Sore wa Katō wa nanidesu ka?" (What is it Kato?)

Kato: "Watashi wa ima, kono heya de ko tori no gen'inda to omoimasu ka?" (Do you think I'm the reason for Kotori in this room right now?)

Kaneko: "Naze watashi ni ko no yōna shitsumon o shite imasu ka?" (Why are you asking me such a question?)

Kato: "Watashi wa ekusoshisuto ni naru tame ni kanojo o hagemashidattanode. Ima, kanojo wa watashi o mitakunai.." (Because I was the one who encouraged her to become an exorcist. Now, she does not want to see me ...)

Kaneko: "Ekusoshisuto ni naru tame ni wa nani mo mondai wa arimasen. Ekusoshisuto wa seishin ni yotte eraba reta darekadesu. Supirittsu wa kesshite ekusoshisuto o erabu no ni machigai o okasanaideshou. (There is nothing wrong with becoming an exorcist. Exorcist is someone chosen by the spirit. Spirits will never make mistakes in choosing an exorcist.)

Kato: "Anata wa sore ni tsuite yoroshīdesu ka?" (Are you sure about that?)

Kaneko: "Nē, moshi watashi ga sore ni tsuite kakushin ga motenainara, watashitachi wa kesshite awanaideshou." (Hey, if I can't be sure about it, we will never meet.)

Kaneko words made me calm a bit. He then turned back to schoolbag keychain. I sat in the chair for a while and thought about how to cheer Kotori.

It's already 10 minutes since Sako entered Kotori's room. I feel a little worried. Suddenly, I heard Sako screams from inside the room.

Sako: "O nīchan! ! ! Tasukete! ! !" (Brother!!! Help!!!)

Kato: "Nani!?" (What!?)

I entered Kotori's room and saw a man holding a knife and pointing to the neck of Sako.

Man holding knife: "1-Inchi mo idō shinaide kudasai! Soretomo, anata wa watashi ga kanojo o korosu tame ni shitaidesu ka?" (Don't move even an inch! Or maybe you want me to kill her?)

Kato: "Anata wa nanimonodesu ka –!" (What are you-!)

Man holding knife: "Watashi wa itta, idō shinaide kudasai!" (I said, don't move!)

The man threatened to kill Sako if I moved even a little. I saw Sako's eyes in fear. She's really in feared. I wanted to help but I can't for her sake.

Man holding knife: "Sā, oshietekudasai. Kanojo wa doko?" (Now, tell me. Where is she?)

Kato: "Dare ni tsuite hanashi teru no?" (You talking about who?)

Man holding knife: "Watashi wa omada no musume ni tsuite hanashite iru! Kanojo wa doko!?" (I'm talking about Omada's daughter! Where is she!?)

When he asked me that question, I look at Kotori's bed. I didn't saw anyone there. Kotori is not there.

Man holding knife: "Watashi ni ima kotaeru ka, watashi wa kanojo no nodo o kirimasu!" (Answer me now or I will cut her throat!)

Sako: "Onii-chan..." –crying in fear-

Kato: "Sako..."
