Chapter 41: Report

Sakura-sensei: "Anata no kurasu wa, anata no nakaba semu shiken no mae ni 5-nichi o motte imasu. Daremoga, kesshutsu shita kekka o eru tame ni nesshin ni benkyō shite kudasai." (Your class has 5 days before your mid-SEM exam. Everyone should study hard in order to obtain outstanding results.)

All students: "Hai, sensei." (Okay, teacher.)

Sakura-sensei: "Kurasu, kaiko." (Class dismissed.)

Class prep: "Sutando, yumi, arigatō, sensei." (Stand, bow, thank you teacher)

All students: "Arigatō sensei." (Thank you teacher.)

Class ended for today. Everyone seemed full of frustration because the exams are coming. They started to perform a study group.

Kireina: "Kore wa watashi no tame no saisho no shikendesu. Watashi wa shiken ni gōkaku dekiru to omoimasu ka? (This is the first exams for me. Do you think I can pass the exams?)

Kato: "Daijobu. Issho ni benkyō shimashou." (It'll we all right. Let's study together okay.)

Sako: "Watashi o wasurenaide kudasai." (Don't forget about me.)

Kato: "Hai, hai." (Okay, okay.)

Kotori: "Ano... Kato-kun." (Erm... Kato-kun.)

Kato: "Dō shimashita ka, Kotori?" (What is it, Kotori?)

Kotori: -Voice slowing down- "Etō... Benkyō-kai ni sanka dekimasu ka......? (Well... Can I join your study group?)

I stared at Kotori faces for a while then said, "Dōshite?" (Why?).

Kotori: "Watashi wa anata to issho ni benkyō shitai node wa arimasen. Watashi wa Sako-chan to Kireina chanto issho ni benkyō shitaidesu." (It's not like I want to study with you. I just want to study with Sako-chan and Kireina-chan.)

Kato: "Hai, hai. Ochitsuku." (Okay, okay. Calm down.)

Kotori: "Hmph! Baka Kato." (Hmph! Stupid Kato.)

Kazuma: "Anata wa watashi ni sanka sa sete kuremasu yo ne?" (You'll let me join right?)

Kato: "Un, tashikani." (Yeah, sure.)

Suddenly Tokuchi walked through our group and said, "Kono chatto chatto o subete teishi shimasu. Karasumi-san wa ima watashitachi o yobidashite imasu. Kuraburūmu ni kite kudasai." (Stop all of this chit-chat. Karasumi-san is calling us now. Come to the club room.)

Kato: "Kanojo wa watashitachi zen'in ni denwa shita? Do no yōna riyū de?" (She called? For what reasons?)

Tokuchi: "Sudeni iku!" (Just go already!)

He went out from the class and slam the door. "Tch. Naze watashi wa sorera o minakereba naranai nodesu ka?" (Tch. Why I have to look after them.). Tokuchi walked slowly to the club room.

All of us went to the clubroom together a minute after Tokuchi went out from the class. As I entered the clubroom, I saw Tokuchi were sitting at the corner of the room.

Kato: "Karasuma sensei wa tōchaku shimashita ka?" (Has Karasuma-sensei arrived?)

Tokuchi: .....

Karasumi: "Watashi wa anata no ushiro ni iru." (I'm right behind you.)

Everyone shocked from Karasumi sudden appearance. Everyone took a seat and Karasumi called Kotori in front.

Karasumi: "Min'na wa kokodesu ka?" (Is everyone here?)

Kotori: "Hai, arimasu." (Yes there are.)

Karasumi: "Hai. Suwatte Omada-san o tsurete kudasai." (Okay. Take a sit Miss Omada.)

Kotori take a sit and Karasumi started to tell us something. She said to be cautious about our surroundings to avoid people that tried to kill Kotori yesterday.

Kazuma: "Dakara, kinō darekaga kotori o korosou to shita no wa jijitsudesu." (So, it's true that someone tried to kill Kotori yesterday.)

Kotori: "Sōdesu. Watashi no bukiyō-sa no tame ni, Katō to Sako no jinsei mo kiken ni sarasa rete imashita." (It is. Because of my clumsiness, Kato and Sako life were in danger as well.)

Sako: "Torī-chan o semenaide kudasai. Sore wa anata no seide wa arimasen." (Don't blame yourself, Tori-chan. It's not your fault.)

Kotori: "Demo..." (But...)

Kato: "Kare wa anata o koroshitai dakedenaku, kotori." (Not only does he want to kill you, Kotori.)

Kotori: "Nani?" (What?)

Karasumi: "Dōiu imidesu ka, Saguta-san?" (What do you mean, Mr Saguta?)

Kato: "Watashi ga kare to tatakatta toki no kare no kao kara no mikata kara, kare wa hohoenda." (From the looks from his face when I fought him, he smiled.)

Kazuma: "Kare wa mata anata to' Sako' o koroshitai to omotte imasu ka?" (Does he also want to kill you and 'Sako'?)

Kato: "Ore wa sō omou." (I think so.)

Karasumi: "Watashi wa kore o shirei-kan ni hōkoku suru tsumoridesu. Ima wa shinchō ni shite kudasai. Tokuni anata, Kazuma." (I'm going to report this to the commander. For now please be cautious. Especially you, Kazuma.)

Kazuma: "Naze watashi wa yuiitsu no hitodesu ka?" (Why am I the only one?)

Karasumi: "Anata ga ekusoshisuto-ryoku o mezame sasete inaishite inai kono heya de yuiitsu no hitodakaradesu." (This is because you are the only person in this room that has not awakened the exorcist power.)

Kazuma: "Dakara, ekusoshisuto-ryoku o mezame sasete kita 'ko tori' o imidesu ka?" (So, does it mean "Kotori" that has awakened the exorcist power?)

Kotori: "Un. Dakara watashi wa ima anata yori mo tsuyoi. Jissai, watashi wa saisho kara anata yori tsuyoidesu." (Yup. So I'm stronger than you now. Actually i'm stronger than you from the beginning.)

Kazuma: "Arghh. Watashi wa sugu ni watashinokoto o negatte imasu!" (Arghh. I hope I get mine soon!!!)

Everyone except Tokuchi started to laugh at Kazuma. While we were laughing, I get a weird feeling like someone were watching us from the outside of window. I changed my sight at the window and saw nothing weird.

Sako: "Nani ga machigatte iru, o nīchan?" (What's wrong brother?)

Kato: "Nani demo arimasen." (It's nothing.)

-Somewhere from the outside-

Mysterious girl: "Karera no subete ga tanoshinde iru yō ni miemasu. Watashi wa totemo shitto shite iru." (Looks like all of them are having fun. I'm so jealous.")

Dark Rose: "Arara. Nanishiteruno?" (Oh my. What are you doing?)

Mysterious girl: "Jūyōna koto wa nanimonai." (Nothing important.)

Dark Rose: "Ara watashi ni oshietaku arimasen ka? Don'na tokoro demo, ōbārōdo-sama ga watashitachi ni denwa shite imasu. Ikou." (Oh my. Don't want tell me? Whatever, Overlord-sama are calling you. Let's go.

Mysterious girl: "Hai." (Okay.)

They opened the portal to the Dark Zone and entered it.
