Chapter 49: The Family

We entered the house through the front door. It was quiet until we reached the living room. Suddenly...

???: "Odoroita! ! !" (Surprise!!!)

Everyone: *Screams

???: "Hisashiburi. Katō, Sako." (Long time no see. Kato, Sako.)

Kato: "O-oo-ooo....

Sako: "Onee-chan! ! !" (Big sister!!!)

Sako leaped towards our sister and hugged her so tight. Our sister name is Ririnko Saguta. She was working overseas and now she's here.

Sako: "Anata ga koishī onee-chan" (I miss you so much.)

Ririnko: "Watashi mo." (I miss you too.)

Kato: "Onee-san..." (Sis...)

Ririnko: "Anata wa kono yō ni watashi o nokosu tsumoridesu ka?" (You're gonna leave me hanging?)

Kato: "Onee-san!" (Sister!)

I hugged Ririnko and Sako. I haven't felt so comfortable for quite a while. She was offered to work at Paris. She refused at first but gave in after Sako and I persuade her to go.

Ririnko: "Sono on'nanoko wa dareda?" (Who is that girl?)

Kireina: "Hajimemashite, Oba-chan." (Nice to meet you, aunty.)

Ririnko: "O-oba-chan desuka? Anata wa ikutsu ka no shinkei o motte iru." (You called me aunty huh? You got some nerves.)

Kato: "Co-cotto!" (W-wait!)

Sako: "Onee-chan, Ochitsuku!" (Calm down.)

Ririnko: "Jibun de junbi, kodomo!" (Prepare yourself, you brat!)

Kato: "Teishi o itta!" (Stop!)

Kireina: "A're?" (Eh?)

I stopped Ririnko from hitting Kireina. Sako explained to Ririnko about Kireina.

-A few minutes later-

Ririnko: "Kanojo wa sono terebi kara detekita?" (She came out of that television?)

Sako: "Watashi wa sore ga kimyōdearu koto o shitte iru. Shikashi, soreha shinjitsudesu" (I know it's weird. But, that's the truth)

Ririnko: "Hmm..."

Kireina: "Komatteimasu ka?" (Am I in trouble?)

Kato: "Īe, anata wa imasen." (No, you're not.)

Ririnko: "Kireina namaedesu ka?" (Kireina is your name right?)

Kireina: "Hai..." (Yes I am...)

Ririnko stared at Kireina for a while. I think Ririnko is doing a body check on Kireina.

Kato: "Ano... Onee-san..." (Ermm. Sis...)

Ririnko: "Ore wa izen kanojo ni atta yōna ki ga shimasu. Shikashi, oboeteinai." (I feel like I met her before. But I can't remember.)

Sako: "Hontodesu-ka?" (Really?)

Ririnko: "Kioku wa boyakete iru." (My memory is blurry.)

Suddenly, we heard a growl from someone's stomach. It was Kireina. I asked her if she's hungry. She said she is hungry. I told her that I will cook something for her.

Ririnko: "Hitsuyō wa arimasen. Watashi wa sudeni watashitachi zen'in no tame ni ryōri suru." (No need to. I cooked all of this for you guys.)

Kato: "N-nani?" (W-what?)

Sako "Masaka..." (No way...)

Ririnko brought us to the dining table. We saw a bunch of food on it. Kireina looks so happy. Sako and I freaked out and told Ririnko we're full.

Ririnko: "Sonoyōni kōdō shinaide kudasai. Watashi wa mina no tame ni kore o chōri suru." (Don't act like that. I cook this for all of you.)

Kireina: "Sono tōri." (That's right.)

Kato: "..." *facing Sako

Sako: "..." *facing Kato

We sat down and slowly took out a spoon each.

Kireina: "Itadakimasu!" (Thank you for the food!)

Kato&Sako: "I-itadakimasu..." (Th-thanks for the food...)

Kireina took a bite of Ririnko's food while Sako and I watched her.

Kato&Sako: *talking in their mind "Hontōni sore o tabete iru!" (She's really eating it!)

Kireina: *eating "Unmai!!!" (It's so delicious!)

Kato&Sako: *talking in their mind "Dekimasen!" (It can't be!)

Ririnko: "Arigatou Kireina-chan". (Glad you like it.)

Sako and I felt something was not right. We slowly put the food into our mouth. When we put it in, our lips felt like eating a stinky socks.

Kato&Sako: *talking in their mind "Zenkai to onajidesu. Īe, sore wa waruidesu." (It's the same as last time. No, it's worse.)

Ririnko: "Doshta, futaritomo? (What's wrong you two.)

Kato: "Watashi wa totsuzen kibun ga waruku." (I feel sick all of sudden.)

Sako: "Ore wa mo..." (Me too...)

Ririnko: "Shinryōsho ni ikitaidesu ka?" (Want to go the clinic?)

Kato: "Hitsuyō nashi. Watashi wa shawā o abite sugu ni neru." (I'm going to bed as soon as I take a shower.)

Sako: "Osakini dōzo, onii-chan..." (After you brother.)

I went to take a shower while sako waited outside the bathroom. Sako kept telling me to come out from the bathroom.

Ririnko: "Ore wa nani ga machigatte iru nodarou ka." (I wonder what's wrong with them.)

Kireina: "Owari!" (Finish!)

Ririnko: "Hayai!" (That was fast!)

Kireina: "Hehe, papa to mama hadoko ni arimasu ka?" (Where's papa and mama?)

Ririnko: "Karera wa basurūmu ni ikimashita." (They went to the bathroom.)

Kireina: "Dōshite?" (Why?)

Ririnko: "Ī kangae wa arimasen." (No idea.)

We never want to suffer eating our sister's cooking ever again.That is why I learned how to cook instead.
